You Were Healed
“When evening came, they brought to him many possessed with demons. He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick; that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying, “He took our infirmities, and bore our diseases.”” (Matthew 8:16-17 WEB)
How come Jesus could heal all these sinners who came to Him? Doesn’t death have the right to latch upon a sinner? Someone has to pay the price for that.
Yes, it is true. Every infirmity (weakness) and disease that Jesus healed, He also bore in His own body at the cross. He took all our sicknesses upon Himself.
What did Isaiah say?
“Surely he has borne our sickness, and carried our suffering; yet we considered him plagued, struck by God, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:4-5 WEB)
At the cross, Jesus was not punished for His own sins—He had always been sinless. Abba God placed our sins, sicknesses, and infirmities upon Jesus, and let the fire of His wrath fall upon Jesus as our substitute.
Since God’s wrath has been fully exhausted in Jesus’ body, there is none left for us who are now in Christ. Jesus righteously purchased our shalom (complete wellness and wholeness with nothing lacking or broken), causing us to be healed.
“who his own self bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness; by whose stripes you were healed.” (1 Peter 2:24 WEB)
Peter puts this truth in perspective for us. By the stripes that Jesus received, we WERE healed. Our healing happened at the cross.
Today, we who believe in Jesus are no longer sinners. Death has no right to latch upon us because we are resurrected beings, having already died to sin with Jesus at the cross.
We have received the righteousness of God, which is Jesus’ own righteousness. This gift of righteousness marks us for God’s grace. We are blessed with every blessing because we are the righteous!
If you see and experience symptoms of sickness or infirmity in your body, meditate on this message and let this truth sink into your heart: you were healed at the cross because Jesus paid the full price for it. When you clearly understand what happened, you will have boldness to take what is already yours!

"I am sixty-two years old. Since childhood, my mother would constantly abuse me with words of accusation and blame due to a personality disorder.
As a result, I had been trapped in self-condemnation and depression, and even attempted suicide when I was fifteen years old. I also frequently experienced migraines.
I started attending New Creation Church [in Singapore] about three years ago, and Pastor Prince’s messages on God’s love and the gift of righteousness through Christ helped me out of that self-condemnation and depression. Every time I felt burdened and depressed, I would declare that I am the righteousness of God in Christ.
The migraines disappeared six months after I started attending New Creation Church and today, I am free from decades of depression. Thank you for your teachings, Pastor Prince!"

"Wherever the powerful revelation of “no condemnation” goes, resurrection life flows!"
Friend, did you know that our Lord Jesus doesn’t want you to go through life harboring introspective and self-condemning thoughts and emotions? Condemnation kills (2 Cor. 3:6–9), and these self-accusatory thoughts and emotions often insidiously produce stress, sickness, and other harmful effects in your life.
Jesus delivered you from such a life of defeat when He died for you at the cross. He took upon Himself all your sin and condemnation so that you could be made the righteousness of God in Christ (2 Cor. 5:21) and live free from sin-consciousness (Heb. 10:22). Romans 8:1 tells us that there is “no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus”!
Wherever this powerful revelation of “no condemnation” goes, resurrection life flows—eradicating stress, sickness, disease, and other forms of death you may be seeing in your life.
This week, will you actively receive the gift of “no condemnation” by believing that you are righteous in Christ? Instead of looking to yourself to do better or be better in life, look to Jesus. He is not condemning you or demanding from you. Instead, He is supplying you with all you need. In your struggle with negative emotions or bad habits, He is supplying you with victory and shalom-peace. In your work or career, He is supplying you with the wisdom, abilities, and opportunities you need to succeed. In your marriage or parenting, He is supplying you with the largeness of heart, the favor, and the wisdom you need to see your relationships flourish.
So this week, every time you feel demanded from or condemned, say this, “Thank You, Lord, for Your grace. Thank You that there is no condemnation in Christ. Because You have made me righteous, I can depend on You to supply all I need!”
The more you are Christ-conscious instead of sin-conscious, the more you will see the Lord’s abundant resurrection life flowing into every part of your being—spirit, soul, and body—and into every area of your life!

Friend, I would like to share with you a testimony of a powerful life transformation from a sister who was caught in a vicious cycle of sin, guilt, and condemnation.
Despite years of self-effort, it was only through the confession of her righteousness in Christ that she was finally able to break the cycle of sin, and be set free from a constant state of guilt and condemnation.
Today, because of the finished work of Christ, we hold fast the confession of our hope, a confident expectation of good to come because of all that Jesus, our great High Priest, has done for us (Heb. 10:23a, Heb 4:14).
True confession is to align what you are saying with what God says about you today. Keep on confessing that you are the righteousness of God in Christ until you experience it even in your thoughts and emotions, and start seeing victory over your addiction!
