I’ve been wanting to write something about last night performing at Bam Bam Pop Up as an Open Act for 2 talented artists Jess Connelly & Alextbh since the morning but idk how to put it into words.
I think i’m just gonna tag these names to say thank you Jsdrmns Charles Huynh Shrada Rai Duong PhamRonniboi .. they have somehow brought out the inner voice in me, the voice that i now hear clearer and clearer everyday: “just sing, girl”. ( mom & dad & bro & sis & other friends might be mad not seeing their names here yeah i'll mention you other times for other topics people hahaa)

Right after lagu Tekad, idea penulisan tak henti2 datang. Masa ni 1998 or 1999 I think. Actually bila dah nak habes studies baru minda rasa macam telah mendapat kebenaran untuk berkarya dalam muzik...agaknya. I dunno. Saya pilih studies but not music sebab arwah abah dan mak pujuk saya study dulu. Walaupun banyak offer saya dapat untuk buat album masa tgh study. Hati meronta jiwa cubew memberontak etc. But segala penantian sepanjang settlekan habes studies berbaloi coz songs untuk first album complete. Alhamdulillah. So lepas lagu ni siap ditulis, nyanyi depan kengkawan adew cakap, 'macam mana u boleh tulis lagu penuh dan bila nyanyi boleh habiskan seluruh lagu...tanpa iringan muzik?' Pastu ada yg cakap 'pehal wey aku dengar lagu ni macam dah siap tapi takdew muzik accompany ko?' Lagi adew cakap, 'woi ko gunew apew buat lagu ni? Gitar takdew piano takdew?' dan banyak lagi lew soalan2. Idea this song diberikan masew....erm....ok fine! Like dis; I started writing the lyrics and terus nyanyi masew kat meja tgh setel projek final year: vocal sensor (secara ringkas a device that detects various air productions from using different singing techniques, natural, falsetto, staccato etc ok ni ringkas jew. So u may improve vocal techniques looking at ur air production. Improve breathing and techniques bla bla bla. Electronics, electrics, hot wire anemometry...ok stop. Masew tu lecturer and classmates garu kepala heran pehal formulaes tuko jadi lyrics...ok i stop). Masew kat meja tu dlm kepala dah dengar drums, piano, strings, backing vocals etc dalam lagu ni. Orang lain tengah sibuk settle fyproject saya sibuk imagining the sound of Ku Cinta Padamu. Cut story short...fine I got B+ projek...ok lah. So anyway, this song is dedicated to mak saya ❤
