We have been happy users of Olea Essence products since December 2014 when we visited their main office in Golan Heights, Israel. Their all-natural, premium olive-based products are made by the beautiful Sea of Galilee which Amilee and I had the pleasure of cruising on by boat.
Check out some photos from our tour of their office, and the last image is a selection of some of the Olea Essence products that we have at home. ❤️
•
After seeing all the ways Olea Essence was processing different parts of the olive fruits to serve our health, beauty, and cleansing needs, we were absolutely impressed and left the office with a big haul of their products. 😄
•
As month after month went by, we became sad as our supply of Olea Essence products depleted, and we thought that we’d have to wait till the next Israel trip to stock up. Amazingly, in 2016, someone we were introduced to took up a distributorship for Olea Essence in Singapore, and we were so excited to know that our friends and family could have access to these great products! 🤩
•
Currently, you can purchase Olea Essence products in Singapore from Sower Essentials on their online store at: https://www.soweressentials.com/collections/olea-essence-olive
There is a Great Singapore Sale promotion going on now where you can get 50% off by using the discount code “OLEA50” during checkout.
Take this chance to try these products at a greatly discounted price!
By making a purchase, you are being a blessing to Israel, and supporting community works as well as Bible missions that Sower Essentials is involved with. Shalom and God bless! 🙌

For this episode, we decided to live a day as Korean! Korean culture has taken the world by storm in recent years, with their food, drink and music becoming commonplace. I was approached by the Korean Liquor Association to experience it fully for one day, with an emphasis on Korean Traditional Liquor. Joining me were three beautiful Korean promoters, Grace (@luvgahyun), Rachel (@boyeon_aa) and Melody (@melody_melody___), where we all dressed in traditional Korean attire, the hanbok.
We went to Hyang Yeon Korean B.B.Q. Restaurant where we indulged in an extravagant spread of Korean food with a live BBQ station, including Prime Beef Short-rib, Japchae (Korean Glass Noodles) and Buchimgae (Korean Pancakes). We paired Korean Traditional Liquors with the food we ate, elevating the meal greatly.
It was such a lovely experience that we decided to do an elaborate feast for dinner. We headed to Koryo Mart, a mart specialising in Korean products, to stock up on Korean Traditional Liquors that we had washed down the previous meal with. Then, we went to Go! K-BBQ to takeaway food for dinner. Go! K-BBQ dry-ages their meat while also offering the usual excellent Korean fare.
Setting up back at the studio, we ate Korean Beef Stew, Bossam, Stir-fried Squid and Kimchi Fried Rice. Promoter Rachel stood in as a bartender, whipping up delicious cocktails with the Korean Traditional Liquor we got from Koryo Mart. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience, especially with my three companions and as I rarely drink. Pairing Korean Traditional Liquors with food correctly can enhance your dining and social experience greatly, as I learned during this video.
All the alcohol drank in this video can be found at Koryo Marts and K-Markets island-wide! Thank you, Korean Liquor Association (한국전통주수출협회) and JY Korea Company (www.jykoreacompany.com).

For this episode, we headed down to Chuan Seng Claypot Kway Chap to hit a new Kway Chap Eating Record! Kway Chap is a Teochew dish that consists of “Kway”, which is flat rice sheets in a light soy broth, and sides that usually include the traditionally unwanted parts of a pig like intestines and trotters, braised in a rich dark stock. While it may look straightforward, the preparation of the intestines is labour-intensive and they are cleaned by hand to ensure that they are thoroughly disinfected.
Chuan Seng Claypot Kway Chap, located at Jalan Besar, differentiates itself by serving their Kway Chap in claypot bowls that helps to retain heat and flavour. It is family-run, with the original founder present there as the Head Chef with his son-in-law managing the restaurant.
The Chef masterfully plated almost their entire menu of sides onto the giant plate, forming a Giant Braised Intestines Platter. There were at least 3 different types of intestines, trotter, knuckle, eggs and actual wild boar meat, all doused in the rich and herbal braising liquid. I then proceeded to consume 12 bowls of Kway together with the Braised Intestines Platter. The Kway were delicious, with the thin strips of rice noodles giving a very slight bite and paired with a fragrant and flavourful soy broth. They were good enough to be eaten on their own. This restaurant offers a chilli sauce with a strong vinegar kick that perfectly matches the fatty and chewy pig’s innards. The pig’s parts were generally tender and while some were necessarily chewy, they were pleasantly so.
It was a fun challenge for me as this Kway Chup was very well done. Do not be perturbed by the initial appearance, the “icky” factor and the fact that you probably will not know which exact part of the pig you are eating once you dig in for this dish. Try each side, preferably with chilli sauce and with copious amounts of Kway, and you will be left extremely satisfied. Do check out this family-owned Kway Chap restaurant with their unique claypot concept and excellent food!

For this video, we went back to Neo’s Kitchen to cook up and destroy a 5KG Collagen Seafood Noodles Challenge! CHU provided us with their Premium Chicken Collagen Soup packs for us to use as the gravy base. These Premium Collagen Soup packs are available at FairPrice Finest island-wide!
We veered from a more traditional Chinese-style seafood noodles by boiling all the noodles, meat and vegetables into the soup, similar to a hotpot. The alternate way would be to cook the meat and vegetables first, cooking the noodles separately (including a frying step), preparing the soup base and then combining them all together.
Thanks to CHU’s Collagen Soup, the soup base was a simple affair of emptying the contents of the pack into a pot. Then, we cooked all the ingredients one after another, which were: marinated pork loin, squid, shrimp, grouper, clay-pot noodles, fish cakes, crab sticks and bok choy. After seasoning to taste with oyster sauce and soy sauce, we topped the Seafood Noodles with an egg mixture that comprised of eggs boiled in the Collagen Soup. Finally, we plated the massive dish onto our giant plate and garnished with fried onions and spring onions. The result was a beautiful 5KG plate of Chicken Collagen Seafood Noodles!
The Collagen Broth was rich and deeply flavoured, reminiscent of a concentrated chicken stock. Surprisingly, while it had a distinct flavour, it was not overpowering nor salty. Using this pre-made pack allowed us to skip the fairly tedious process of creating your own which can involve chicken stock, aromatics and seasonings that you boil for some time. The seafood added a noticeable element to the broth that elevated the richness of it even further. Ultimately, I thought it was close to restaurant-level Seafood Noodles.
This was such a simple dish to prepare and I thoroughly enjoyed my homemade Chicken Collagen Seafood Noodles. The possibilities of what you can make with the Premium Chicken Collagen Soup are endless due to the rich yet not overpowering nature of it, be it a hotpot base, risotto or mui fan. Find it at your nearest FairPrice Finest or order it online!
