Red Lantern 🏮= Reunion,Bright, energetic, prosperous!
The Lantern Festival is a Chinese festival celebrated on the fifteenth day of the first month in the lunisolar Chinese calendar. Usually falling in February or early March on the Gregorian calendar, it marks the final day of the traditional Chinese New Year celebrations. 🥂🧨During the Lantern Festival, children go out at night carrying paper lanterns and solve riddles on the lanterns.🏮

Today is Chap Goh Mei, the 15th and last day of Chinese New Year celebrations. It’s also known as the Spring Lantern Festival (not to be confused with the lantern light-ups during Mid-Autumn Festival).
Traditionally, houses and streets would be decorated with lanterns, sometimes with riddles attached for people to solve. The lanterns, usually red, represent prosperity and good fortune – which I hope Singapore will enjoy for many years to come. Wishing everyone a happy Chap Goh Mei!
