A 3D sensing solution can be based on one of these three range finding technologies — Stereo Vision, Structured Light, and ToF. Stereo Vision can work with the pre-existing dual RGB camera module, whereas the other two technologies would require an extra IR transmitter/receiver module for measuring distances.
