The Grab-oBike alliance finally comes to fruition in the form of oBikes branded with logos from both the Singapore-based bike sharing company and the Southeast Asia-native ride hailing app.
Grab hasn't formally entered the Taiwanese market yet, but their newly unveiled co-branding strategy could very well be the first hint of their foray into Taiwan, where oBike has already pioneered the dockless bike system and where Western rival Uber has long remained the reigning champion of on-demand ride hailing.
Whether it's in transport, e-commerce, or logistics, the recent string of strategic partnerships across the region clearly reveals an intensifying and ruthless battlefield where players need to tap into increasingly unconventional resources (i.e. oBike's prospective ICO) just to gain a leg up over their competition.
