Copella arnoldi，在觀賞魚貿易上被稱為紅翅濺水魚，是目前所知道唯一一種在"陸地上產卵"的魚類。雌雄魚在配對以後，會一起跳上離水面一段距離的濱水植物葉背上產卵，然後再落回水中。雄魚會守護在葉面下方每隔10-15分鐘就以身體向葉片灑水以保持卵的濕潤。
牠們的卵粒黏附在葉面上的模樣有點像縮小的樹棲蛙類卵塊。幼魚孵化後就會落回水中，和蛙類非常相似。
這種魚在水族館還算常見，但我卻很少看到有人繁殖或報導牠的行為

This fish is found in the Lower Amazon Basin in Brazil and some coastal drainages in Guyana, Suriname and the French Guiana.
The Splashing Tetra is one of the most unique fish which can be found in the Aquarium Trade today. It’s remarkable spawning behaviour has captured the interest of many enthusiasts and aquarists alike. The ways these fish spawn truly lives up to their name.
Physiology:
The Splashing tetra is capable of growing up to 4.5-5.5cm, though some sources say it may grow up to 6cm in length. The minimum tank size for keeping these fish is 30gal. Splashing tetras prefer a soft and acidic pH range of 4.0-6.0. These fish thrive at a temperature range between 24-28*C.
The males grow significantly larger than the females, and are more colourful at maturity. The males will also develop longer finnage as well. Females on the other hand are smaller, duller and do not have extended fins.This fish, especially the males, is a fantastic jumper. A tight fitting lid is highly advised.
