Q1: What is success mean to you?
I'm not sure what defines success, for me, success or failure is just a “phenomenon” that keeps changing. “Everything with form is unreal; if all forms are seen as unreal, the Tathagata will be perceived.” There is no rule to achieve success, we don’t know whether or not we can succeed before we start exploring.
Q2: How did you get into film and media? Can you tell me about your childhood?
As a child, I was obsessed with children's literature and illustrations, it was the reason I decided to study Design in HK PolyU. My first scriptwriting class in School of Creative Media, was a turning point. Dr. Tam Ka Ming’s teachings guided me towards the film industry. All I know is that I couldn’t help but follow my desire to use a camera to tell stories. It’s what led me drifting down this life-long career path. At the age of 23, I filmed my first movie, “High Noon". It portrays the dilemma of teens becoming adults and stepping into society.
Q3: How do you approach story or scene as a director, and what do you want to achieve on set?
The motifs of my movies are youth, growth, desire, bright and dark sides of human nature.
I think making movie is a journey of “Discovery”, “Recovery” and “Being”. Youth and teen growth is not only the topic for my debut, it is the topic of life that I concern.
Q4: Why you also started a talent agency? You also produce, why you choose to do so many things?
When I started my company Dumb Youth, my 1st intention was to protect those artists. Then I realize that a part of my role in life is to embrace my life with my "companions". I believe that the people and things around us coexists in the same space for a reason. I live by the Kahlil Gibran quote: “And all work is empty save when there is love”.
Q5: What inspires you about the film world and in HK Film Industry?
Love and Death, Lust and Desire, Humanity and Spirituality, lightness, heaviness and thickness.
For Hong Kong Film industry, I think the creativity and imagination always inspire me the most, and most importantly, people here have the ability to find humor amongst adversity.

Remember God After You Have Prospered
“You shall observe to do all the commandments which I command you today, that you may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which Yahweh swore to your fathers. You shall remember all the way which Yahweh your God has led you these forty years in the wilderness, that he might humble you, to prove you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments, or not. He humbled you, and allowed you to be hungry, and fed you with manna, which you didn’t know, neither did your fathers know; that he might teach you that man does not live by bread only, but man lives by every word that proceeds out of Yahweh’s mouth. Your clothing didn’t grow old on you, neither did your foot swell, these forty years. You shall consider in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so Yahweh your God disciplines you. You shall keep the commandments of Yahweh your God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him. For Yahweh your God brings you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of springs, and underground water flowing into valleys and hills; a land of wheat and barley, and vines and fig trees and pomegranates; a land of olive trees and honey; a land in which you shall eat bread without scarceness, you shall not lack anything in it; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills you may dig copper. You shall eat and be full, and you shall bless Yahweh your God for the good land which he has given you. Beware lest you forget Yahweh your God, in not keeping his commandments, and his ordinances, and his statutes, which I command you today; lest, when you have eaten and are full, and have built fine houses, and lived in them; and when your herds and your flocks multiply, and your silver and your gold is multiplied, and all that you have is multiplied; then your heart might be lifted up, and you forget Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage; who led you through the great and terrible wilderness, with venomous snakes and scorpions, and thirsty ground where there was no water; who poured water for you out of the rock of flint; who fed you in the wilderness with manna, which your fathers didn’t know; that he might humble you, and that he might prove you, to do you good at your latter end: and lest you say in your heart, “My power and the might of my hand has gotten me this wealth.” But you shall remember Yahweh your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth; that he may establish his covenant which he swore to your fathers, as it is today.” (Deuteronomy 8:1-18 WEB)
The Lord gave me a word “scorpions” which led me to this passage.
I sense that a lot of us here have been through a long wilderness journey where we have been asking God “How long more,” and we are already close to entering our promised land.
As we are about to enjoy His marvelous restoration and multiplication of provision in our lives, in whatever way He has been leading you, REMEMBER HIM when you go into the land flowing with milk and honey.
Don’t forget all the precious lessons about humility and faith that you learned while in the dry wilderness.
Money can be destructive because the sinful flesh is tempted to make money its idol.
Keep your eyes on Jesus…
There is a reason why things take time. The preparation phase is needed so that you would be able to handle the sudden multiplication.
Despite all the tough times, God has always been faithful to you, and you are still alive. Give thanks to Him!
Under the New Covenant of Grace, to keep God’s commandments means to believe in Jesus Christ and to love one another as Christ has loved us. Will you allow yourself to continue being led by the Spirit to walk in love, even after you have prospered?
I say again, REMEMBER HIM. Okay, now go and possess your promised land. The Lord shall go before you, and you will approach it one step at a time with each passing day!

Larry Carlton Style - Triad Approach
https://youtu.be/lGFl9EVy7rI
Special thanks to Tim H (my new fan!) who sent his special package with money for my cds! This gift was so amazing! His friend Bob Cameron who took this amazing photo from live footage of Louis Armstrong in 1941! Incredible! I love it so much! Tim said "I thought you might like to have it in light of the fact that you are a fine musician in your own right." Wow! Thank you so much!!
Then I thanked him via email.. he wrote me back with more about Bob and Tim's life stories.
Then Tim wrote.... "Nevertheless, I really admire your skills as a performer as well as a teacher. Of all the teachers I have followed, you make the most sense to me personally."
""I am including a link to a video of Rick Beato with Larry Carlton. I saw Larry Carlton play a few years ago and he just blew me away. Since you are so into triads and base your understanding of soloing on them, I wanted to ask you to do a video on how Larry Carlton hears 3 triads above the one that is played... and then he improvises based on these 3 possibilities.
It's way over my head and I'll probably never "get it" as far as getting it under my fingers, but at least maybe I can intellectually understand it. Here is the video - 5 minutes in...

Anyway, maybe you can explain it better than they do.
Thanks,

Rayner: 00:00 The first thing I want to share is that there is no way that you can 100% avoid a false break out. Because that's like saying, "How do I win 100% of the time in trading?" It doesn't exist. So embrace this fact that break outs will fail, no matter how beautiful the pattern is, how high probability the chart may look break outs can and will fail.
Rayner: 00:32 Once you accept this fact, I want to share with you three tips that I personally look for whenever I trade break outs. Number one trade break out with built up. So what is built up? Build up is basically a tight consolidation you see on your chart where the range of the candles get small and tight. That's called a 'build up', and typically like let's say, for example, I want to trade a break out of resistance, I will look for a build up at the highs of resistance. Meaning if the price comes into resistance, I want to see the range of the candle get tighter and tighter. Consolidating for about five to ten candles, before it breaks out.
Rayner: 01:05 Why do I want to see that? Because number one, you have a tighter stop loss which improves your risk to reward, because when there's a build up, you can just simple set your stop loss at a low of the build-up instead of the low of the entire range, which is pretty done wide. That's number one, a tighter stop loss that eventually offers you a better risk to reward. Number two, when you see a build-up, it's a sign of strength because it's telling you that buyers are willing to buy at these higher prices, willing to buy in front of resistance. This is a sign of strength, and these are the two reasons why I love to trade break outs with build up.
Rayner: 01:39 The second tip that I want to share with you is watch how the price action approaches the levels that you're looking to trade the breakout. Let's say for example again you want to trade resistance, you want to trade the break out of it, watch how the price action approach resistance. So what I want to see is higher lows coming into resistance, because this is a sign of strength, it's telling you that the buyers are willing to buy at again these higher prices. On top of it, it looks somewhat like an Ascending triangle, and it typically is from this type of stair-stepping price action to a point where it starts to coil very tightly, and again this is another form of a build up, and really more often than not, the market is likely to break up higher. Again, watch how the price action approach resistance. Ideally, you want to see higher lows coming into it.
Rayner: 02:22 The third thing I want to share with you is to let markets break out. If the market does break out and you are not in a trade, what you can do is to wait for the first pullback to occur, and this can appear in the form of a trend continuation trade, for example, a bullish flight path and a symmetrical triangle. These are possible chart pattern that you can trade, to trade the subsequent move higher.
Rayner: 02:55 These are the three tips I would like to share with you to find higher probability break out trades. That's all I have for you in today's episode. If you have any questions that you want me to answer, leave it in the comments section below so I can look into it and answer in the next episode.

This week I’ve got a question by Vinayak who asked…
“Which is the best moving average to use?”
And I’m sure many of you want to know the answer as well.
But here’s the thing:
There isn’t a best moving average out there.
Why?
Because the word best is subjective. You can use a moving average to act as a trend filter, to identify areas of value, to set your stop loss, and etc.
So, what’s your purpose of using a moving average indicator?
Once you can answer that question… then maybe you can find a moving average parameter that suits your trading approach.
Make sense?
Good.
So in today’s episode, you’ll learn:
• How to find the best moving average for your trading approach
• How to use moving average to identify areas of value
• How to use moving average as a trend filter so you can trade with the trend
PLUS…
The truth behind moving average crossover — does it really work? It’s probably not what you think.
So, click below to watch today’s episode:
Then go read this post because it will teach you how to use moving average like a pro.

I’ve got a question by Jay who asked…
“How do I know when is the best time to exit a trade?”
Now here’s the thing:
There’s no one size fits all when it comes to exiting your trades.
Rather, it’s a question of what you’re trying to accomplish from trading.
Do you want to generate a consistent income?
Do you want to grow your wealth over time?
Do you want to beat “buy and hold” approach?
And etc.
So in today’s episode, you’ll learn:
• How to exit your trades and improve your trading consistency
• What’s the difference between swing and position trading — and why it matters
• How to ride massive trends in the markets using this dead-simple technique
• And more…
Now…
If you’ve been struggling with your trade exits for the longest time, then go watch today’s episode.
This will make a BIG difference because you’ll finally know how to exit your trades based on objectivity —not emotions.
Do you want to learn more?
Then go read theses posts because it will teach you more techniques to exit your trades.
