It’s the best time to visit Trick or Thrills at Universal Studios Singapore this Halloween because the monsters come can’t near you… erm, cos #socialdistancing 😅😅😅

And yes, Halloween Horror Nights returns to USS too!!! Well, sort of. After going on a break last year, #HHN comes back in an exhibition format where visitors gets to go behind the scenes and learn what goes into the making of the biggest Halloween event in Southeast Asia.

So no need to worry creepy-scares or jump-shocks because there are only frightening icons & scary props to view… which probably explains why Ale was game enough to enter! 😆 Some parts were still scary for her though, but we all made it through!!!

Want to make your admission ticket more worthwhile? Visit on Fridays or Saturdays because that’s when USS closes at 10pm. You’ll get to venture into Universal Monsters Scream Alley after dark where Frankenstein, the Bride of Frankenstein, Dracula and the Wolfman, lie in wait. Nothing too terrifying and good for selfies. 😁

As for the little ones, there are Halloween Character Meet & Greets… along with hunting for treats where kids can pick up candy treats!

Our family loves going on nature hikes and since overseas travel was curbed, we started exploring more locally. There're many nature trails to discover here and some of the gems can be found on Sentosa - the Imbiah Trail, Coastal Trail and Mount Imbiah Nature Trail. The first two are pretty known but the last one not so much and more secluded.

If you’re planning to hike with the kids or on your own, you can try out the Siloso Trail as part of the MSIG Biodiversity Mission 2021 on District app. MSIG Insurance has developed 2 trail challenges that you can do in Singapore - Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve and Siloso trails - in order to raise awareness about the biodiversity at these 2 sites. The trails are FREE and open to everyone. All you need is the latest version of the District app and off you go!

We did just that and for once, wifey & I took a backseat and let the monkies take the lead in the Siloso trail. Using the District app, they navigated through the trail, stopped at various checkpoints to either collect points or answer questions about the local biodiversity we came across on the trail. Swipe to see how they did for some of them! In addition to points earned along the way, 200 points will be awarded for every 1km walked. Let’s just say I have never seen them so eager to compete and walk MORE. Maybe because there are $50 sports vouchers to be won for the top scorers! LOL.

So if you have been trying your darndest to get the kids outdoors, maybe the MSIG Biodiversity Mission will be up their alley. The app is super easy to use, the trails are kid-friendly (even for beginners), there are points to earn, and the kids get to learn more about the fauna and flora in our home country too. Lotsa wins right there!

For this episode, we embarked on an EPIC CHEAT DAY where I LOST MY ABS IN 6 HOURS! Steven, a long-time friend and semiregular guest star, suggested that we should head over to the East side of Singapore for a cheat day as there are many malls in close proximity there. Beginning at Tampines 1 and ending at Waterway Point, I ate 12 dishes from 4 different malls, resulting in a massive 7-inch increase in waist circumference.

It was a hard push towards the end, evident from my extremely distended midsection. My normally visible abdominals gave way to a turgid and swollen belly. However, it allowed me to satisfy my cravings in between my usually strict dieting between shoots. I was pleased with Steven’s choice of malls as they had good selections of food and drinks while mostly being walking distance from one another.

In this video, i took on the 100 chicken nuggets in 10 minutes challenge!

The good people from Seo Eng Joo Frozen Food actually challenged me to eat their famous Freezepak Chicken nuggets as they will donate $3000 if I'm able to do all 100 chicken nuggets in 10 minutes!

P.S. for those that have not tried freezepak nuggets, they are way better than Mcdonald's chicken nuggets in my opinion. Slightly bigger and a lot more tender.

In this video, I headed over to The Original Boat Noodles at Seletar Mall where I ploughed through 160 bowls of boat noodles. The Original Boat Noodles is a Thai restaurant that serves authentic boat noodles at only $1.50 per bowl and a selection of other Thai dishes and beverages.

For this challenge, I ate the Pathumtani and Ayutthaya versions of the boat noodles, but it also comes in Tom Yum and Kuey Chap flavours! The boat noodles themselves are accompanied by either beef or chicken balls and your of choice rice or springy noodles.

If you have never had the opportunity to try the real thing in Thailand, this is your next best option for Thai Boat Noodles!
