At the end of February, an expedition team of ornithologists, researchers, local naturalists and guides surveyed the northern slope of the Murrucucú mountains in Córdoba department in Colombia for 11 days searching for the Sinú Parakeet.
The brightly-colored bird hasn’t been seen since 1949. The team didn’t find the Sinú Parakeet, but what they did find has made them even more hopeful that the parakeet is still hiding somewhere in the northern sector of the Western Andes. They documented 238 species of birds, approximately 30 of which had never been found in Córdoba before. Among those was the Sapayoa, a small bird that had also only been documented in Córdoba once before in 1949.

What was supposed to be a smooth ascent in Tanzania's DRY season ended up being a battle up the mountain through record rainfall and hail, which almost cost us the chance to summit...There is no doubt in my mind that this record rainfall is linked to muan-made climate change, linked to warmer than usual Indian Ocean and one of the hottest winters Antartica has ever experienced..

【保衛郊野公園，9.29 Let's Walk ！】
這是展現我們決心保衛郊野公園 的時候，這是我們身體力行打出守護郊野公園的一仗！
由20多個團體舉辦的「保衛郊野公園」日，成員包括Ark Eden、香港地貌岩石保育協會、創建香港、海下之友、西貢之友、大浪灣之友、香港地球之友、綠領行動、綠色社區、綠色和平、綠色力量、環保觸覺、香港觀鳥會、香港海豚保育學會、香港野遊、香港自然生態論壇、大嶼山愛護水牛協會、西貢大浪灣關注組、香港自然探索學會、長春社，我們希望透過今次聯合行動，向全港市民表達一個訊息：保衛郊野公園，寸土必爭！

路線：黃泥涌水塘公園(陽明山莊) → 大潭水塘建築群 → 大潭道
起步時間：上午9:30 (請提早到起點集合)
難度：輕易，適合一家大小同行，可以推BB車。
