Did I look like that in 2016 and wasn’t satisfied? After 2 pregnancies, my waist gained a few inches but did my shoulders expand too? My belly button is saggy and my linea nigra is still very visible after so many months! 😩
On a happier note, Aaron turns 18 months this July and I feel like I am seeing more progress in regaining my pre-pregnancy body, fitness strength and flexibility! I took longer than usual because I haven’t been consistent. There were weeks I would clock 4 classes a week, some weeks I did nothing at all - yet I still ate cookies and chips for supper 😝 I guess its true when they say abs are made in the kitchen.
I still can’t give my 100% in every class because of my lack in stamina. Can’t and don’t have the confidence to do 50% of the poses I used to be able to. But the best thing I can do for myself is to get up and show up on the yoga mat and work towards it. We're all a beautiful, wonderful work-in-progress. Embrace the process!

EDD: 22 June 2021
𝙇𝘼𝘽𝙊𝙍 𝙄𝙎 𝙉𝙊𝙏 𝙃𝘼𝙋𝙋𝙀𝙉𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙔𝙀𝙏 🥶
First, sorry for all the unreplied messages. Too many, too tired and too busy to read. Finally got admitted today and even though I’m yet to be in labour, it already felt like I’m getting myself 𝙘̶𝙧̶𝙪̶𝙨̶𝙝̶𝙚̶𝙙̶ ready in a battlefield.
Baby’s heartbeat is at 140 as of latest check. Head is still high. Entrance is still tightly closed. I peek into the screen and I saw the supposedly EDD was 15 July if based on the baby’s current head height. No wonder la no contraction or any sign of labour.. still in baking process.. 😅
I have yet to experience any contraction. But doc said tomorrow morning will start induction. That’s what everyone told me, it will be by this time you’ll feel the real pain. But nobody told me bout the finger test! 🥵 It felt like the doc was trying to murder me 🤣 HAHAHA. Only those who went through this shit will understand what I’m saying 🙃And they said bleeding after that is normal. Can you imagine how rough it was 🤣 Now I can laugh because it’s over, I’ll leave my horrified face to your imagination 😶🌫️
Ok, tomorrow hopefully induction can be done smoothly without the balloon (foley bulb induction) lah.. I wanna get this over and done ASAP! 🤣 I duno if any other mom out there thinks like me but I really don’t want to stay here for too long.. I won’t miss moment like this.. I don’t like all the jabs, pain, discomfort n hospital smell 🥲 Now i just wanna get my job done n look forward to see my baby 🥰 Nothing else motivates me better than seeing my miracle sweetheart ❤️💪🏻💯
That’s all for today’s update! And yes, my updates are all real n practical. No flowery descriptions of how beautiful pregnancy or labour should be. It’s all realistic so new mother to be can expect the unexpected. It just took lots of love, courage, bravery and faith to complete this phase of life 💋

Papaya soup to boost milk supply
Many people have the misconception that eating papayas can help one enlarge breasts. From the perspective of Chinese Medicine, papaya can strengthen the spleen and stomach, aid digestion and clear the intestines, and clear summer-heat and quench one’s thirst.
Such misconception comes from the fact that papaya can actually boost milk production. Many breastfeeding moms eat papaya to increase their milk supply because papaya contains papain (papaya proteinase) that induces uterine contractions, expedite the recovery process, and at the same time promote lactation.
Compared to ripe papaya, green papaya contains more papain. Hence, using green papaya to make soup can boost milk production more effectively. Since papaya can also cause uterine constrictions, avoid consuming it during pregnancy.
Tips on ingredient:
Octopus is cold in nature, can strengthen the qi and nourish the blood. It is suitable for individuals with weak qi and blood as well as those who are malnourished.
Green papaya can aid digestion, whereas ripe papaya can enhance bowel movements.
Green papaya and octopus soup with black beans
Effects: Strengthens the spleen and aids digestion, alleviates lack of breast milk after childbirth.
Ingredients: 1 green papaya, 1 carrot, 1 dried octopus, 4 dried scallops, 30g black beans, 30g peanuts, 2-3 dried fig, 2 slices ginger
Preparation:
1. Rinse all ingredients thoroughly. Cut the peeled and cored green papaya into pieces. Cut the peeled carrot into pieces. Soak the dried octopus into water until softened.
2. Combine all ingredients with 2500ml of water in a pot and cook on high heat until boiling. Turn to low heat and simmer for 2 hours. Add salt to taste.

I first heard about cord blood banking 13 years ago when I was pregnant with Isobel. My family history of breast , throat and colon cancer played a bit part in my decision to bank Isobel’s cord blood and even though cord blood stem cells aren’t being used to treat those diseases right now, research IS ongoing and I really believe this will be the treatment of choice in the near future.
I look at it more as insurance for Isobel, and for me.
Oddly, I didn’t think of storing Iman and Isidore, my second and third childs’ baby cord blood – probably because I thought Isobel’s cord blood would be enough for her siblings SHOULD they need it… but when I found out I was pregnant with Ilon, and made the decision to proceed with the pregnancy despite the odds, I revisited the decision to bank my 4th child’s cord blood but not without some concerns from Azmi – and rightfully so.
My primary reason for banking Ilon’s cord blood was for peace of mind. When I made that decision to keep my precious baby, naturally Azmi and I committed to it and did so much to prepare for Ilon’s birth to ensure his and my health and life was priority.
But is cord blood banking one of the things you ought to consider? To decide, it helps to know how the process works, and what cord blood may be able to do (and can’t), should you ever need it.
Here to help separate the hype from the facts of cord blood and tissue banking, I speak to Mr Andy Hon, Medical Science Liasion from Stemlife Berhad – to answer any questions you have in mind.

A lot of things to consider with parenthood right around the corner. Tv shows, movies, video games etc. What is ok and what is not ok for our little boy. Not sure how I'm going to toggle this for the next 18 years. Hoping there is no trouble during this whole process!
