นอกจาก Capcom จะประกาศเปิดตัวเกมใหม่อย่าง Resident Evil Village และ Pragmata แล้ว ทีมงานได้ออกแถลงการณ์ข่าวดีว่าตอนนี้ เกม Resident Evil ทุกภาคสามารถส่งออกได้ทะลุ 100 ล้านชุดเป็นที่เรียบร้อย !

Capcom กล่าวว่านับตั้งแต่ Resident Evil ภาคแรกได้วางจำหน่ายในปี 1996 แล้วสร้างนวัตกรรมด้านเกมเพลย์ จนก่อให้เกิดนิยามเกมสยองขวัญแนวใหม่เรียกว่า 'Survival Horror' ทำให้เกมดังกล่าวเติบโตกลายเป็นแฟรนไชส์ที่ได้รับความนิยมทั่วโลก จนถูกนำไปสร้างเป็นเกมภาคต่อ, เกมภาค Spin-off, ภาพยนตร์คนแสดง, ภาพยนตร์แอนิเมชัน, อีเวนท์ Collaboration และชื่อเสียงของ Resident Evil ยังคงเติบโตยิ่งขึ้นมาตลอด 24 ปี โดยมียอดขายเกมทั้งหมดมีราว 80% มาจากต่างประเทศ
