馬來西亞响2019年12月18號向聯合國提出，反對南海島礁變人工島嘅提案，之前已經得到印尼、菲律賓、越南同澳洲支持。

今日輪到英、德、法三國共同向聯合國書面回覆，反對中國响南海呢類非法海事活動。

"...the regime of isalnds naturally formed land features. Land building activitives or other forms of artificial transformation cannot change the classification pf a features under UNCLOS."
（有關海域嘅陸地係天然形成，所有陸上建設或者任何人工改造都唔能夠將聯合國1982年定立嘅海洋法公約裡面所定義嘅改變。）

某報社論個社長係咪時候又話要"Wipe Out"邊個嗰個呢？不過依家有八個喎？

Justice Chao Hick Tin retired this week after a distinguished judicial career. He entered public service in 1967 as a legal officer, and retired as Vice-President of the Court of Appeal. A remarkable 50 years!

Amongst Justice Chao’s many contributions was his work with Professor Tommy Koh and Professor S Jayakumar, in the negotiations that led to the UN Convention of the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS). This secured the rights of freedom of navigation and safe passage that are critical for a small island state and maritime nation like ours.

In 2006, Justice Chao left the Supreme Court to become Attorney-General for a term, a post he filled with distinction. He was in the team that successfully presented our case on Pedra Branca at The Hague in 2007.

Justice Chao is well loved in the legal community. He is patient and even-tempered, and known for his fine legal mind. He made it a point to give lawyers time to make their cases, regardless of their rank or experience.

Thank you, Justice Chao, for your outstanding contributions to Singapore. I wish you many good years of health and happiness, and a happy belated 75th birthday! – LHL
