My take wasn’t that I knew everything or that I was well-versed in the plight of refugees and their hard heart work in just fighting for some amount of normalcy after leaving everything and everyone they have come to know and love behind.
.
My take was that the only way I would be able to teach Ella Grace to be kind, inclusive, and a citizen of the world is to welcome everyone through our doors.
.
To be open to learning, to be invested in understanding and equipping, to be engaged with different people and cultures because there is a rich amount of lessons to be learned from each other.
.
To just start as small and as big as beginning a conversation at home or in our workplaces or on our platforms.

Some really tangible ways:
