Representing the USA Team in men’s soccer this summer in the University Games are the BYU Cougars! This will be the first time in 20 years that the U.S. has fielded a team in men’s soccer. The last time USA Team competed in men’s soccer, the soccer team finished on the podium with a bronze medal! What sets BYU’s men’s soccer team apart from most other collegiate programs is the fact that it does not compete against other universities under the jurisdiction of any collegiate athletic association such as the NCAA, but rather in the Premier Development League of the American Soccer pyramid, the highest tier amateur league.
