“STYLE – ĐANG THEO STYLE GÌ VẬY?”
Thật vậy, có rất nhiều bạn hỏi mình “Style anh mặc là gì thế” hay đưa các hình ảnh của những người nổi tiếng – mà người nổi tiếng đã đành, có những bạn KOLs/Influencers mà mình chưa biết là ai và hàng loạt câu hỏi như sau “Anh ơi, style này là gì thế?” “Style này đang mặc gì thế ?”. Xin thưa là các bạn hỏi vậy mình cũng không biết trả lời sao.
Trên thế giới có hàng chục, hàng trăm cái phong cách/style khác nhau. Nào là vintage style, nào là military style, nào là workwear style – hay phổ biến hơn với Việt Nam là Darkwear (Từ tự phát), Techwear, streetwear- urban streetwear vân vân. Mỗi nhánh lớn lại chia nhỏ thành từng nhánh chân rết con, tỉ dụ như Goth style đã ra một đống phong cách phụ. Chúng ta có Romantic Goth, Fetish, Vampire, Bubble, Cyber, Steampunk… nhiều, nhiều lắm. Thực sự rất là khó.
Thêm 1 điều nữa là không phải ai cũng diễn tả hoàn hảo một phong cách tuyệt đối được – đặc biệt là trong thời gian này, một thời kì mixing everything/ tất cả mọi thứ đều hòa trộn nhờ ơn của Internet và social network. Như mình có nói ở các bài viết trước, bạn có một phong cách đa dạng hay đa dạng nhiều phong cách. Mỗi cá nhân trong thế giới thời trang, trước tiên là “Quốc gia thời trang riêng” của chính bản thân họ - sẽ yêu thích một kiểu văn hóa, âm nhạc nào đó mà họ đam mê, rồi dựa vào đó tìm ra thứ thời trang phù hợp với cơ thể họ nữa. Lẽ dĩ nhiên, họ sẽ pick and wear những items nào mà cơ thể họ cảm thấy tự tin và thoải mái nhất. Vì thế - chúng ta sẽ có thêm ti tỉ “Style hòa trộn” dựa vào thế giới quan của riêng mỗi cá nhân. Có hơn 7 tỉ người trên thế giới – vậy thì nôm na chúng ta sẽ có khoảng 7 tỉ “Style” 7 tỉ “Phong cách” dựa vào cá nhân mỗi con người.
Việc này cũng tốt cho giới thời trang. Vì nó thể hiện được sức sáng tạo không ngừng của con người trong cái sự ăn mặc, không bị ép buộc vào 1 phong cách nào cố định cả. Tin mình đi, bạn yêu thích Rock/Punk, bạn thích Rap/Hiphop, bạn thích Casual/Gentle, bạn thích Vintage – bạn theo đuổi nó, nhưng sẽ đến một thời điểm nào đó, bạn sẽ hết ý tưởng. Và boom, bạn sẽ nghĩ ra một cách mix nào đó giữa những thứ văn hóa, thời trang mà bạn biết. Thế là nó ra 1 style của riêng bạn.
Trong giới thiết kế cũng vậy. Đành rằng theo đuổi một style là điểm mấu chốt cho việc xây dựng hình ảnh thương hiệu hay signature/symbol của designer’s brand name – nhưng trong hiện thực, đã có rất nhiều designer lấy cảm hứng từ các mảng khác, văn hóa khác hay một câu chuyện khác ứng dụng vào trong collection của họ. Cái hay của nhà thiết kế giỏi là biến 1 câu chuyện ngoài lề, chẳng liên quan gì đến thời trang hay chủ đích xuyên suốt của thương hiệu – thành 1 đặc điểm mới của trang phục mình sáng tạo ra. Còn đi theo lối mòn ư – vẫn được thôi, nhưng dùng mãi cũng sẽ cạn kiệt chất xám. Vậy – chúng ta mới có designer để đời và designer bình thường. Bạn có để ý những cái tên mà bạn hay vinh danh như Rick Owens, Jun Takahashi, Takahiro Miyashita – đều là những kẻ rất điên (Nhưng cái điên lại trong quy củ, trong bộ luật riêng của họ). Ngành nào cũng vậy, kẻ giỏi sẽ thống trị, kẻ bình thường sẽ làm tôi tớ của thế giới này.
Hay dạo gần đây, cụ thể là cuối năm 2018 – chúng ta rộ lên cụm từ “Normcore”. Normcore không phải là 1 từ gốc miêu tả về style thời trang, nó chỉ là đánh bật về việc thoải mái mọi nơi mọi lúc. Giống là lối sống hơn, sáng mày mặc đi làm tối mày cũng có thể mặc bộ đồ đó đi chơi được. “Normal is core” có thể hiểu như vậy. Normcore không nói về sự sáng trọng, nó nói về sự bình thường trong ứng dụng thời trang, một màu sắc hài hòa, trung tính và dễ dàng mặc. Move on từ giai đoạn “Tailoring” – May mặc với “Runway apparel/ Đồ runway” may theo số đo thành “Ready to wear” với sự cố định của các size XS, S, M, L và XL. Đánh dấu sự dễ dàng hòa trộn trong phong cách ăn mặc hơn – nhưng đi cùng với nó, là sự mất bản sắc.
Qua những điều mình vừa nói ở trên – có lẽ rất khó khi hỏi một người như mình : “Style của A/B/C là gì?” vì ngay cả bản thể style đã vốn rất đa dạng, mà chính người mặc đó cũng đã pha trộn các style khác nhau theo một cách cũng rất riêng của họ. Mình trả lời sai là nhiều khi không đúng với mục đích mà họ đưa ra. Cái mà chúng ta có thể học hỏi được – là sự sáng tạo của người mặc trong fit đó, về màu sắc, về bố cục, về đôi giày. Hay với form người như vậy – thì nên mặc đồ như thế nào cho hợp lí. Sản phẩm họ đang mặc từ brand nào, brand đó hay sản xuất đồ kiểu gì. Chúng ta có options nào phù hợp hơn không.

In response to the many requests received, tetsuya MUSEUM MMXX!! will be held again, with new content, in the middle of summer.
ESP’s guitars and bass guitars that were used during L’Arc-en-Ciel’s “ARENA TOUR MMXX”, and items selected from tetsuya’s personal collection of rare guitars, bass guitars and equipment that you would usually not be able to lay your eyes on will be on display.
In addition, the outfit worn by tetsuya himself during the “ARENA TOUR MMXX” will also be on display and a pop-up store of the apparel brand “STEALTH STELL’A”, of which tetsuya is the creative director, will also open at the venue!
