Throwback to the precious times I became a mum. The days are long but the years are short when it comes to seeing our kids grow, so I'm reminding myself to cherish these fleeting years which will not return.
Time flies, before I realise it, I've been blogging for over a decade already. Some of you recently told me you've stayed with me right from the start when I gave birth to the big girl in Sweden, went through a miscarriage and subsequently came back to our sunny island where our family continued to grow, and is still growing.
It brought a tear or two because I was moved by your support and encouragement, and even if you've been a silent reader, I am still more thankful than I can say too. While giveaways build the numbers, it is the heartfelt posts that deepen the connection over the years.
By writing and sharing openly, it lets us know that we are never alone in our fears, fumbles and failures. That we are all in this parenting journey together, learning, falling, picking ourselves up, trying harder and most importantly, reaping the joy and rewards of seeing our kids grow and blossom bit by bit.
So, even as our busy lives bog us down, I hope to be able to continue writing in my humble space and if possible, to inspire, encourage and spread some love and joy. On the blog today, I share my heartfelt thoughts about having one more baby, how the kids first reacted to the news, what went through my mind as well as tips on being a happy, pregnant mum who looks forward to welcoming a new life.
