HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR YOGA JOB INTERVIEW? - if you’re asking yourself the same question, 👀 along:
1️⃣- Have your photos taken. Other industries might not need a photo but in the field of yoga, almost every employer would ask for a photo to see how your practice is. So get some photos taken - professionally if possible.
2️⃣ - Have your bio ready. This should include how many and what trainings you have received. Highlight who your lead trainers were too. If possible, maybe ask your lead trainer to write a few comments (like a note of recommendation) about you. Highlight anything in the past that might make you a great hire too. If you're great with communicating with others, make sure you mention it.
3️⃣ - Research on the studio - Find out what the studio is; its background. Check out its website and IG, see what they offer and what is missing in their service. And see if you could provide what they need. If you know someone who's a member there, talk to them to get their perspective as a member. See what's working and what's not.
4️⃣ - Be yourself. At the interview, be honest and authentic. Employers are more interested in your personality and in seeing if you're a team player, rather than hoping you are the king of #handstand. A good interview is basically a good conversation. If this is your first interview, don't ask about the money right away. You should always ask questions and say thank you when you leave. Prepare a short sequence to demonstrate your teaching skills and keep the sequence simple. You don’t have to put your legs behind your head to teach a yoga class.
5️⃣- Leave a thank you note. Always say thank you after the interview. If you get the job, condragulations! If not, thank them again and ask for feedback. Find out how you could improve yourself and let them know that you are willing to work on those things.
These are my 5 tips on how to prepare for an interview and, most importantly, be reconsidered if you don't get the job right away. What do you guys think? Leave a comment if you have questions or got other useful tips too.
🏷 it or forward to someone if you find it useful 🙏🏼

EDIT: FUNDS RAISED! ♥️
Dear FAM, I am trying to raise RM10,000 to help the Orang Asli located at Hulu Kemensah. Our brothers and sisters are struggling to make ends meet. From their shelter, to their food and clothes, we are looking to help in all ways possible.
We are looking to prepare basic needs, to be sent over to them.
- Clothes + Toys (if you have GOOD used clothes or toys to be given away, please let me know). Do NOT pass torn, dirty, dusty, stained or smelly clothes.
Simple rule: If you would NOT accept it as a third person, then do NOT give it to a third person.
Other than that, it's really the food and basic necessities that we are looking to provide.

As a mom, I’ve milestones that I aspire to witness for my kids. Things that @mysoncallsmebuun and I would occasionally bring up and be all excited about.
One of them would be sending Tyler for music and vocal classes when he turned 5, because this guy loves his songs and music! Well, the pandemic hit before he even turned 5, so that’s not happening just yet.
Another one would be witnessing Tyler’s 6 year old school concert and kindergarten graduation. I had always, always dreamed of the day my son would go on stage in his costume as a lead dancer or simply as a tree, and I would envision myself tearing up in the audience and feeling oh-so-proud. I was still clinging on to the hope to see him graduate kindy end of this year, but I guess the possibility of it is rather slim now. At least not one without masks on for all the kids 🥲
Another one? The day my kid goes for his first day of primary school, looking all grown up but still smol sized in his primary one uniform. I knew this sight would move me to tears. I am still hoping that this would be possible- stepping into primary one class, physically meeting new friends in a new classroom of a new school, bringing pocket money to buy food at the canteen and nonsense erasers and snacks at the mini store, coming home with stained uniform and telling me all about his adventures in school. I’m still looking forward to this day.
Lately I’ve also been wondering how Lu would be like if he were attending play school right now. Knowing what a fun and sociable person he is, he would really love play school and meeting new little friends. Would he be the rebel in class, doing his own thing and refusing to follow instructions? Or would he surprise us by being the teacher’s pet? We can only wonder for now.
If you’ve read this far, I’m gonna be honest and tell you that I’ve got nothing inspiring and uplifting to share for today. This is merely a raw and honest soul-baring confession of a pandemic mom, with what ifs for her kids clouding her mind every once in a while.
Until then, I’m just gonna do my best to nurture them at home, work hard to provide, and do my best to make home-schooling fun. Until then, I’ll keep trying.

Bravo!! #AirAsiaMAKNA raises RM300,300 for its third year commitment to fighting cancer
SiennyLovesDrawing has attended & proudly witnessed that AirAsia continues to champion cancer awareness & support underprivileged cancer fighters through its cancer campaign, #AirAsiaMAKNA
In the campaign's 3rd year, the airline raised RM300,300 for the National Cancer Council of Malaysia (MAKNA) through the sales of its limited edition pilot and cabin crew design t-shirts.
The cheque was presented by AirAsia Philippines Chairwoman and cancer fighter Marianne 'Maan' B Hontiveros, AirAsia Malaysia CEO Riad Asmat, and AirAsia X Malaysia CEO Benyamin Ismail, to MAKNA General Manager Farahida Mohd Farid at the ‘#AirAsiaMAKNA: The Big Fight Fiesta’ event held today.
AirAsia’s loyalty programme, AirAsia BIG Loyalty, also presented two million AirAsia BIG Points to MAKNA to provide cancer patients with air travel options.
AirAsia Malaysia CEO Riad Asmat said, “Cancer is a worldwide health concern affecting people of all ages, directly or indirectly. At AirAsia itself, we have many cancer survivors who never cease to inspire us with their tenacity and positivity. With our very own friends at work battling the disease, we knew that something has to be done to also help those going through the big C in the communities we serve.”
“Since 2015, our #AirAsiaMAKNA campaign has raised RM1 million of funds to assist underprivileged cancer patients in Malaysia. This humble yet important initiative would not be possible without your support. I would like to personally thank everyone who joined us in the fight against cancer,” he added.
MAKNA General Manager Farahida Mohd Farid said, “This campaign isn't about money. Initiatives like these go beyond that. Our alliance with AirAsia ultimately translates into saving lives and making a positive impact in cancer patients. Now Malaysians can not only just fly but make a social impact by touching a patient's life. It's an opportunity for everyone to help someone. AirAsia is truly a big heart organisation that has kept business and human touch in sync - that's why we work so well together. Thank you AirAsia, for making our cause your own. It is an honour serving with you."
Visitors to the cancer awareness event today were treated to an educational day filled with fun activities such as health talks, clinical examinations, cancer exhibitions, sampling and sale, special discounts for health products and many more. Popular local artists SonaOne, Alif Satar and Ismail Izzani also showed their support with live performances to delight attendees.
As a token of appreciation to the public for their support towards the campaign, AirAsia is offering a 20%* off all flights for bookings made via the AirAsia mobile app using the promotional code MAKNA20. Bookings are available from 8 July to 10 July 2018 for the travel period between 1 August to 22 November 2018. Guests can book these special promotional fares via AirAsia mobile app on iPhone or Android devices.
In August, AirAsia will continue as the official airline partner of MAKNA for the ‘Klimb Kinabalu 2018’ expedition, in which a total of 20 climbers including four Allstars from across the Group will conquer Mount Kinabalu to further raise funds and build cancer awareness.

from the sixers.com
His emotion was raw. His words were real. He was who he is.
What else would you expect from Allen Iverson, especially on the night he appeared at The Center for the first time since being named a member of the 2016 Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame class?
“It brings back a lot of memories,” said Iverson of standing in the building where he played all of his home games during a Sixers career that spanned parts of 12 seasons. “It gives me chill bumps. This is me. This is my environment. This place made me a household name. This is the place that little kids fell in love with me.”
On Monday morning in Houston, Iverson was formally elected to the Hall of Fame. His enshrinement will be made official in Springfield, Massachusetts on Friday, September 9th. Shaquille O’Neal, Yao Ming, Tom Izzo, and Sheryl Swoopes are among the other inductees.
Friday, amidst some tears and laughs, Iverson spoke from the heart about this latest, and arguably most distinguished, individual honor. Because Iverson tells it so well, so passionately, and so deeply, the main objective of this article is to simply provide context to many of the Answer’s comments from Friday, and let them stand as they were delivered during a 20-minute press conference.
“This is a tribute to everybody that helped me accomplish it,” Iverson said. “My family, my friends, my fans, everybody that stuck with me through my ups and downs. The ride definitely wasn’t perfect. I made a whole bunch of mistakes just like people make. But people look at us like we’re not human, and don’t understand that we bleed just like them, and we have feeling, just like everybody else.”
At one point on Friday, Iverson got choked up when talking about the pride he feels when family and friends express how proud they are of him.
“I want so much for the people that stuck with me through the whole time, I want them to feel good about it. I want them to feel like they’re Hall of Famers. I want everybody that had an impact on my life, and that had an impact on me trying to get to this goal right here, I want them to feel good about it. Everybody that was with me throughout the ride, I want them to be proud of themselves for helping me get to such a high level.”
The highlights and achievements that the six-foot guard from Georgetown racked up while playing the game of basketball are plentiful, and well documented. It would be unrealistic and unjust to attempt to recap them all in a single article.
Iverson, however, did point to one particular ritual that stood out to him the most among all of the memorable experiences he created and lived through while on the court, or “dance floor,” as he put it, in Philadelphia.
“Probably when I put my hand up to my ear, the response that I got from doing it,” Iverson said. “I knew how those people on that side of the court would respond, and that was one of the like greatest moments for me that sent chills all through my body, because I knew that they felt like I was feeling. If not more, they were excited like I was. That’s one of the greatest moments as far as that court, but just that court period. In Philadelphia, period. Just me giving everything I had night in and night out to those fans, these fans, because I know they were there supporting me for 48 minutes.”
Such interplay exemplified the seemingly unshakable, entirely natural bond that was built, and continues to exist, between Iverson and the city.
“It’s a relationship that we might not ever see again, besides with [Michael Jordan], and his fans in Chicago,” said Iverson, a native of Virginia Beach. “It’s a long lasting relationship. We connect. They love me because I gave everything I had, and they honor that, and I love them for what they gave me. It will never be nothing like the relationship like I have with the fans in Philadelphia. I don’t think it’s possible. I don’t think it will happen.”
In addition to repeatedly stressing his appreciation for supporters and fans throughout Friday’s media gathering, Iverson wove another prominent theme into his remarks. He believes he has undergone substantial personal growth and development.
