全國第一個「雙語教育區域資源中心」9月27日在 國立中山大學 National Sun Yat-sen University(NSYSU)揭牌!今年三月在教育部與美國在台協會於中山大學舉辦的 #台美教育倡議 雙語教育研討會 中,部長潘文忠宣布於中山大學設立雙語教育培訓基地,歷經數月籌備,周一由教育部、中山大學、 文藻外語大學 Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages、美國在台協會、 Fulbright Taiwan 學術交流基金會及高雄市教育局共同見證揭牌典禮。
中山大學與文藻外語大學將攜手,分別協助區域內一般大學與技職大學提升英語授課水準,同時爭取 #美國國務院線上專業英語網絡計畫(Online Professional English Network Program)、#傅爾布萊特英語教學助理╱專家計畫,及擬訂外籍學位、交換及華語生至中小學教學訓練計畫等,冀望廣納各方資源,提高英語教學及學習成效。

🎉AIT attended the plaque unveiling ceremony of the Southern Regional Resource Center for Bilingual Education at the NSYSU on September 27 The Center was initiated and funded by the Ministry of Education (MOE) as a follow-up to the U.S.-Taiwan Education Initiative Symposium jointly organized by the MOE and AIT on March 29 at NSYSU, aimed at sharing resources promoting English as a medium of instruction (EMI) among universities and technological and vocational universities in Kaohsiung, Pingtung, and Taitung. AIT supports the Center’s efforts through the Department’s English-language programming, including the Fulbright Specialist and Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA) programs, as well as the OPEN (Online Professional English) program.

🌷Simple Watercolour Loose Floral (for Beginners) - Jan 5, Mar 29
為全無水彩經驗同學而設, 這堂主要學習的水彩風格是loose floral, 畫簡單的花, 葉, 魚, 貝殼, 蝴喋, 及卡通.

😺Watercolour Cat Portrait (for all levels) - Feb 2
• 這堂會教 橘色貓或麻色斑紋貓 的 調色和畫法, focus 畫貓臉.
• 筆記的demo cat 是橘色貓
• 重點是教著色層次, 畫貓眼和貓鬚, 用masking fluid 的方法.
• 同學可選擇畫自己的貓或demo ginger cat

🐶Mixed Media Dog Portrait (for all levels) - Feb 23, Mar 8
• 這一堂是畫自已的狗. (若同學沒有特別的狗想畫, 可畫我筆記內的狗作練習.)
• Mixed medium 所用的ェ具包括: 油性防水marker, 木顏色筆, 水彩木顏色筆, 水彩 etc.

💋Watercolour Portrait (all levels) - April 19 + April 26
這堂需要上兩課 Part 1 + 2.
• 從無畫人經驗的同學, 可從基本的眼耳口鼻的鉛筆描繪重點學起.
• Part 1- 教畫一張基本的臉, 畫五官需注意的細節, 如何計算比例和水彩著色層次.
• Part 2 - 第二課教畫頭髮的特別技巧, 不同髮型的畫法. *(Part 2 筆記更新, 練習和之前的課程不同)

🤪Fun Cartoon for Beginners (Mother’s Day Special) - May 3
• 這班最適合任無何繪畫和水彩經驗的同學, 透過簡單的卡通畫法, 體驗一下水彩的特性.
• 用卡通畫做母親節賀咭+信封, 不懂寫calligraphy 也可做到.
• 這一堂的notes參考資料豐富, 共10頁, 包括 - 做一張卡通賀的步驟, 畫一個卡通人物的比例, 各種人物的全造型 (包括細路仔, 少年, 靚女OL), 表情的畫法, 各種海洋生物及魚類造型, 森林動物獅子老虎etc 等造型, 家禽造型, 例如 豬牛羊雞etc, 貓狗卡通.

✏️Faux Calligraphy & Brush Lettering / Basic Letterforms (for Beginners) - May 17
• 這堂最適合對字體全無認識的同學, 會講解26個字母的基本字型結構
• 會有pdf file (21 pages) 給各同學, 仔細說明字型的比例結構, 描繪字形細節要點.
• 教用brush pen 和 faux calligraphy 兩種方法書寫.
• Faux Calligraphy, 意思是不用傳統的calligraphyェ具 (即calligraphy nibs) 而寫出書法字thick and thin strokes的效果.
例如大家常見的刻字或寫字於水杯, 香水撙, X’mas crystal ball, 皮革產品 etc. 都是用faux calligraphy 的方法.

Fool-proof recipe that makes airy, light, crispy, crunchy and tasty biscotti. English instruction with subtitle.
INGREDIENTS
40 gram (1/3 cup) unsalted butter
5ml (1/2tsp) flavor essence to taste (I use vanilla, rum and orange essence)
180 gram (1-1/3 cup) all purpose flour
50 gram (1/2 cup) almond powder/ almond flour
5 gram (1 tsp) baking powder
2 medium eggs (60gr/piece including shells)
105 gram (1/2 cup plus 1 tsp) caster sugar
160 gram (6 oz.) nuts and dried fruits to taste

Công thức
A. VỎ BÁNH
-120ml nước nóng (*)
- 60 gram bơ động vật không muối
- 1/2 thìa cafe đường
- 1 nhúm muối nhỏ
- 65 gram bột mì đa dung - RÂY MỊN
- 2 trứng gà (60 - 65gr/ quả cả vỏ)
B. NHÂN KEM TRỨNG
- 2 lòng đỏ trứng
- 35 - 45 gram đường tùy khẩu vị
- 20 gram bột ngô hoặc bột mì (**)
- 200 ml sữa tươi không đường
- 10 gram bơ động vật không muối
- 1/2 thìa cafe va-ni chiết xuất
- 1 nhúm muối nhỏ
(*) Nước nóng giúp bơ tan nhanh hơn, nước bốc hơi sẽ ít hơn. Nếu nước bay hơi nhiều (hoặc dùng trứng quá nhỏ), lượng nước trong bột bánh ít, thì khi nướng sẽ tạo ra luồng hơi yếu làm cho bánh nở kém hoặc đặc ruột.
(**) Bột mì làm cho nhân có vị hơi dai trong khi bột ngô sẽ giúp nhân mềm mịn hơn, các bạn có thể lựa chọn theo sở thích.

INGREDIENTS
A. CHOUX PASTRY
120 ml hot water (*)
60 gr unsalted butter
1/2 teaspoon sugar
a pinch salt
65 gr all purpose flour - SIFTED
2 eggs (medium)
B. PASTRY CREAM (FOR FILLING)
2 egg yolks
35 - 45 gr sugar (to taste, I use 40 gram)
20 gr all purpose flour or corn starch (**)
200 ml milk
10 gr unsalted butter
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
a pinch salt
(*) Hot water helps the butter to melt faster, reducing the amount of water to be evaporated while being boiled. When baked, water evaporates and releases steam, which helps the choux pastry or choux shells puff-up. Thus, keeping sufficient amount of water in the dough is important.
(**) All purpose flour makes the custard a bit chewy while corn starch makes the custard soft. You can choose based on your taste.
