In Japan, as a foreigner (tourist) you do not have to pay the 8% tax, when you shop anything about 10,000 yen in most stores, sometimes they have the exception of it being 7,000 yen or 5,000 yen for you, to not have to pay the 8% tax. make sure you always ask first, and don`t forget to bring your passport with you. enjoy your shopping in Tokyo!
