I have never been a fan of sweet sambal, I like my sambal spicy.

Currently, Nasi Lemak Berlauk Auntie Mid is one of our favorite nasi lemak stalls and we have been a customer for almost 2 years now.

The coconut rice and all the dishes are prepared using the boss' mother's recipes, hence the name ‘Auntie Mid’. Eventually, his wife picked up the recipes so whatever you see nowadays are actually cooked by the missus.

Besides excellent and spicy sambal, we also like his ayam masak merah and never fail add it to our nasi lemak – with extra kuah too.

Nasi lemak yang tersembunyi ni tak ramai yang tahu kecuali orang-orang yang tinggal di Bandar Menjalara. Mungkin ada yang tinggal di sini pun tak tau ada gerai ini. Bila kami cuba nasi lemak ini pada kali pertama, kami tak sangka kami akan kembali berkali2 untuk nasi lemak Auntie Mid ni.

Walaupun tak banyak lauk, tapi ia tidak hindar orang ramai daripada datang kembali ke gerai ini. Resepi semua dari ibu bos (Auntie Mid). Nasi lemaknya harum, ayam merahnya sedap, sambal sotong dan sambal rasa pedas.

Harganya juga berpatutan. Nasi lemak dengan ayam merah, telur goreng sambal sotong dan EXTRA sambal hanya RM8.50. Nak makan sini atau bungkus pun boleh.

Not many people know the hidden nasi lemak except those living in Bandar Menjalara. Maybe someone lives here didn't even know there was this booth. When we tried this nasi lemak for the first time, we didn't expect that we would return again and again for Auntie Mid's nasi

Although there aren't many dishes, but it doesn't avoid people from coming back to this booth. Recipe all from mother boss (Auntie Mid). Nasi lemak is fragrant, red chicken is delicious, sambal squid and spicy taste sambal.

The price is also affordable. Nasi lemak with red chicken, fried egg with sambal squid and EXTRA sambal for only RM8. 50. You can eat here or pack it

We were taking away Ayamas for dinner earlier and spotted a food truck selling Nasi Lemak. My instincts told me it was going to be good, and indeed it was.

Remember when nasi lemak was tastiest when it came wrapped in banana leaves and the packets are pyramid shaped? The sambal is predominantly spicy with a sweet note, rice is aromatic and fluffy with a thin slice of boiled egg and more importantly there's ikan masin as well.

Well this one has it all, and it's only RM1 a packet - freshly made on the spot too! She also sells other variants of nasi lemak bungkus with chicken, fish and telur mata - all of them are between RM1.30 to RM2 if I am not mistaken.

I bought 2 packets of nasi lemak bungkus kosong and 1 with extra telur mata and the damage was only RM4. Cheap and delicious.

If you want to buy, look for her nasi lemak truck in front of Shell petrol station opposite Kepong's police station along Jalan Besar. She only opens from 5pm onward.

I will definitely return again.
