Guinness World Record information on Greatest Vertical Height Stair Climbing in 12 hours.
The record is owned by Former World No. 1 - Christian Reidl also the Course Record Holder for Shanghai Tower IVM - 17:26 min! He completed a total of 13,145.65 Metres in Frankfurt, Germany on 28th Sept 2014 (My Birthday, I was 20 years old that time).
Have some rough calculation last night, test the pace this morning for 4 reps, was good, did another detailed calculation just now. Here's the summary:
If I am going to attempt for it...
Building: Menara TM
Course: G-54F
Elevation Climb: ~200m
Steps: 1296 steps
Goal: 14,000m
Attempts: 70 X 54F Climb
Duration: 12 hours (720 min)
Each Attempt: 10:29 minutes (including coming down from 54F to Ground Floor)
Lift Speed: 54F-G (~40s)
G-54F: 9:30 min (80 beats per minute)
Total for each attempt: 10:10 min
7 seconds buffer for each attempt.
Summary: Workable! I will test it out for 3 to 6 hours by end of year 2019 and see if I can really do it before I apply for it.
