LOL: Worlds 2020 มียอดผู้ชมทั่วโลกแบบไม่รวมประเทศจีนลดลงเล็กน้อยจากปีที่แล้ว แต่ก็สามารถคว้าตำแหน่งการแข่ง Esports ที่มีจำนวนผู้ชมมากเป็นอันดับ 2 ในประวัติศาสตร์ได้สำเร็จ เป็นรองจากปี 2019 เท่านั้น

ก็ถือว่าเสร็จสิ้นกันไปเรียบร้อยแล้วสำหรับการแข่ง LOL: Worlds 2020 หนึ่งในงาน Esports ขนาดใหญ่ที่ยังสามารถจัดได้ในปีนี้ภายใต้วิกฤต COVID-19 ในตอนนี้ทางเว็บไซต์ต่าง ๆ ก็ได้เริ่มรวบรวมข้อมูลสถิติที่น่าสนใจและได้เปิดเผยออกมาในบางส่วนแล้ว หนึ่งในนั้นคือจำนวนผู้ชมสูงสุด (Peak Viewer)

โดยที่ Esports Charts ได้เปิดเผยว่า แมทช์ที่มีจำนวนผู้ชมมากที่สุดก็คือรอบชิงชนะเลิศนั่นเอง ระหว่าง DAMWON Gaming และ Suning สามารถทำยอดสูงสุดใน Youtube ทุกประเทศรวมกันได้ทั้งหมดที่ 2 ล้านคน, ใน Twitch ที่ 1.6 ล้านราย และใน Youtube แบบภูมิภาคตามภาษาได้ดังนี้

Youtube (อังกฤษ) - 1.51 ล้านคน
Youtube (เกาหลี) - 1.14 ล้านคน
Youtube (เวียดนาม) - 6.6 แสนคน

รวมทั้งสิ้นแล้ว ทำให้การแข่งในปี 2020 มียอดผู้ชมสูงสุดที่ราว 3.88 ล้านคน โดยไม่รวมผู้ชมในประเทศจีน (และช่องทางจากประเทศจีน) ที่คาดว่าจะมีมากถึง 40 ล้านราย ทั้งนี้ก็ต้องรอรายงานสรุปของหลาย ๆ สำนักอีกครั้ง

อย่างไรก็ตาม การแข่งนี้ก็ถือว่ายังน้อยกว่ารอบรองชนะเลิศในปี 2019 ที่ผ่านมา ระหว่าง T1 และ G2 Esports ที่มียอดผู้ชมถึง 3.98 ล้านคน ซึ่งการแข่งรอบชิงของปี 2019 ของ G2 Esports และ FunPlus Phoenix ก็ได้ร่วงลงไปเป็นอันดับ 3 แทน ที่จำนวน 3.7 ล้านคน แต่ในส่วนของ Twitch การแข่งของปี 2020 นี้ถือว่าเป็นอันดับหนึ่ง

LOL:Worlds ปีต่อไปก็ยังคงจัดที่ประเทศจีนเช่นเดิม ซึ่งการแสดงรวมถึงเวทีของปีนี้ได้รับเสียงตอบรับจากแฟน ๆ ทั้งทางลบและทางบวก เชื่อว่าในปีหน้า Riot Games คงต้องทำการบ้านอย่างหนักเพื่อทำให้ดีกว่างานในปีนี้อย่างแน่นอน

Dr Disrespect สตรีมเมอร์ชื่อดังที่เพิ่งกลับคืนสู่วงการอีกครั้ง หลังจากถูก Twitch แบนโดยไม่ทราบสาเหตุ ได้ประกาศเปิดตัวหนังสือของตัวเองเรื่องแรกชื่อว่า VIOLENCE. SPEED. MOMENTUM. และเตรียมออกจำหน่ายในปี 2021

แม้เจ้าตัวยังไม่เปิดเผยรายละเอียดของหนังสือมากนัก แต่หากอ้างอิงจากหน้าเว็บไซต์ Pre-Order หนังสือ VIOLENCE. SPEED. MOMENTUM. จะมีเนื้อหาเกี่ยวกับเผยประวัติความเป็นมา เปิดเผยชีวิตความเป็นส่วนตัว และการก้าวบันไดสู่วงการสตรีมเมอร์ จน Dr Disrespect กลายเป็นหนึ่งในสตรีมเมอร์ที่โด่งดังไปทั่วโลก

หนังสือ VIOLENCE. SPEED. MOMENTUM. ตีพิมพ์โดยสำนักพิมพ์ Gallery Books มีจำนวน 224 หน้า และวางจำหน่ายในเดือนมีนาคมของปี 2021 ในราคา 27 เหรียญฯ (ราว 870 บาท) ซึ่ง Dr Disrespect กล่าวว่าหนังสือเล่มนี้จะต้องเป็นหนังสือที่ "ยิ่งใหญ่, อลังการ และทำลายสถิติหนังสือขายดี"
