５年の中期計画で2013年に始めた#アハハプロジェクト を今日無事に終えることができました❣️
５年間で約1000人近くのカンボジアの孤児の子供達に、歯磨きの大切さや正しい磨き方を指導、歯科検診と虫歯治療を実施し、口腔保健と健康増進の啓蒙に努めてきました。
カンボジアでは、１つの虫歯を治すのに最低15ドル（約1670円）が必要で（孤児院で提供される食事は一食50円〜100円）、多くの孤児達は歯磨きの必要性を理解する機会はもちろん、虫歯治療を受けることができず、痛み止めの常用で肝臓を酷使してしまったり、虫歯が他の大病を誘発してしまったり、貧困と乏しい教育で健康を害している子供達を沢山見てきました。
私たちのような民間の小さなNGOにできることは限られていますが、参加した子供達が私たちのイベントで学び、これからのより良い生活に少しでも活かしてもらえるものが提供できていたら嬉しいです！
ちなみに、今回は112人の子供達の歯科検診をした結果、虫歯が無かったのはたった一人でした。泣きながら治療を受けていた子供達は、歯磨きの重要性を痛感したようです。😢

The oral health initiative, second leg of A-Ha-Ha Project in Cambodia 2018 has successfully been conducted on 27 October at Orphanage Center Phnom Penh Thmey (OCPPT) by a non-profit organisation, Three Hearts Foundation, in collaboration with Dr. SOURN Monika, President Elect of Cambodia Dental Association along with her volunteer dental students.
A-Ha-Ha Project in Cambodia has reached its goal and been completed 5 years period since 2013 with the great outcomes.

昨日は６年目のアハハプロジェクトのイベントでした❣️
アハハは、毎年2〜4回に渡って、
①歯磨きの重要性や健康との関わりを説くスタディーセッション
②ブラッシング指導
③歯科健診
④虫歯治療
を、カンボジアの孤児の子供達を対象に行います✨
歯科医師を目指す歯学部の学生ボランティアが、歯科医師の教授監督のもと実施👨‍⚕️
小さな草の根の活動ですが、プロジェクトを通して子供達の口腔環境の改善や正しい歯磨きの習慣化が顕著に見られるので、これからも継続していきたい大切な事業です✨

THF organised its first leg of dental and oral hygiene initiative, A-Ha-Ha Project in Cambodia 2018 for 106 boys and girls from two orphanages at Orphanage Center Phnom Penh Thmey (OCPPT) on September 16!

This signature health care initiative, A-Ha-Ha Project, was launched by THF five years ago. The program was held under the supervision of one of city's leading dentists Dr. Monika SUORN assisted by 13 dental students.

Oral education, a demonstration on proper way of brushing teeth and an oral checkup were imparted to 56 students from OCPPT and 50 students from Kolap Boun Orphanage as part of the day’s program.
As for those who have oral problems, dental treatment will be dealt with during the second A-Ha-Ha planned in December.

Today, we at THF and our MOU partner, University of Health Sciences carried on a full day oral health camp as part of the 3rd term of the “A-Ha-Ha Project in Cambodia 2017” at the FLOW orphanage🇰🇭
We provided 118 kids with the dental treatment and fun activity time with the pleasure of drawing and game sessions!
I was happy to see that all kids braved the treatment though it was first time for most of them and started to understand the importance of keeping good oral health.

今日は、#スリーハーツ の#アハハプロジェクト の第３四半期でした❣️
#MOUパートナー の#ヘルスサイエンス大学 の協力で、前回の検査で虫歯があった118人の子供たちを治療してもらいました。
生まれて初めて虫歯治療を受ける子がほとんどだったので、怖がって泣き出す子もいると思っていたら、全員静かに臆することなく治療を受けてくれました🙆🏻
孤児院の先生達は、過去２回のイベントで子供達とスリーハーツのメンバーが打ち解けて信頼関係が出来たからだろうと✨
キラキラ目を輝かせて私たちのイベントを楽しんでくれている子供達を見ていたら、離れるのが名残惜しくて、フライトの時間直前まで絵を描いたりゲームをしたりして過ごしました💓
アメリカからカンボジアに戻ったのもつかの間、シンガポールに移動します🛫🌈
