【咳後調護】喝碗潤肺湯有助止咳

感冒後化痰止咳湯
捱過一場感冒後,以為身體終於打勝仗,但卻總是拖着咳嗽的尾巴,加上不懂得把痰吐出來,痰涎刺激氣管引致咳嗽形成惡性循環,此時不妨到街市尋找龍脷葉的芳蹤,龍脷葉又稱龍舌葉,因為外型像舌頭而得名,其屬性平和,具潤肺化痰止咳、潤腸功效,如果找不到鮮品,亦可以乾品代替。配搭有潤肺健胃功效的蘋果,煲一款清甜的化痰止咳湯水,處理蘋果時建議用鹽擦洗或以暖水清洗去除蠟質,飲得更安心。
食材小貼士:
南杏又稱甜杏仁,性平,有潤肺、潤腸通便功效;北杏又稱苦杏仁,有袪痰止咳、平喘及潤腸功效。北杏帶有少許毒性,所以份量不宜多,與南杏的比例至少一比一。
龍脷葉蘋果南北杏湯
功效:潤肺、化痰止咳,紓緩感冒後咳嗽等症狀。
材料:新鮮龍脷葉30克(或乾龍脷葉15克)、蘋果2個、紅蘿蔔1根、南北杏20克、無花果乾4枚、陳皮一角。
做法:
1. 所有材料洗淨,蘋果留皮去芯切塊備用;紅蘿蔔切皮切塊備用。
2. 鍋中加入2500毫升水,放入全部材料,武火煮至水滾,調文火煮1.5小時,最後下鹽調味即可。

Soup to relieve cough and phlegm after flu
Just when you thought you have overcome a flu, you soon realize your coughing symptom still persists. The excessive phlegm produced would also in turn irritate the trachea, causing you to cough incessantly. If this condition persists, why not look for dragon's tongue leaf as it is mild in nature, can moisten the lungs, clear phlegm, relieve a cough, and moisten the intestines.
You can consider buying the dried version if you cannot find fresh ones in the market, and eat it with apple, which can moisten the lungs and strengthen the stomach. With these ingredients, you can make yourself a sweet soup to relieve a cough and eliminate phlegm. Do use salt or warm water to wipe off the wax on the apple first, so you can enjoy the soup at ease.
Tip on the ingredients:
Sweet almonds are mild in nature and can moisten the lungs and bowels, and relieve constipation. Bitter almonds can relieve phlegm, cough and wheezing as well as moisten the bowels. Due to the mild toxicity, do not eat too much. Most people will usually use both sweet and bitter almonds in soup and the proportion would be at least 1 to 1.
Dragons tongue leaf and apple soup with sweet and bitter almonds
Effects: Moistens the lung, relieves phlegm and cough. Relieves symptoms such as coughing after catching a cold.
Ingredients: 30g fresh dragons tongue leaf(or 15g dried dragons tongue leaf), 2 apple, 1 carrot, 20g sweet and bitter almonds, 4 dried fig, 1 dried citrus peel
1. Rinse all ingredients thoroughly. Cut the peeled apple into pieces. Cut the peeled carrot into pieces.
2. Combine all ingredients with 2500ml of water in a pot and cook on high heat until boiling. Turn to low heat and simmer for 1.5 hours. Add salt to taste.
