屏東縣政府為了推廣友善土地信念，特別舉辦微生物應用心得分享會，除了地主屏東縣以外，也吸引新竹、苗栗、彰化等10個縣市、近200位農民組學習團，前來觀摩資材推廣中心的運作，分享交流微生物的應用經驗與成果，希望透過「屏東經驗」，與各地農民一起推動友善土地的農漁牧業。

【週日閱讀科大師】小兵立大功:土壤微生物的簡介及應用
1.認識人類世代的資產-土壤:土壤是人類最基本的資源之一，土壤歷經億萬年發育是人類最珍貴的資產，人類生活基本上不能離開土壤。保育土壤是每一世代的使命，若土壤環境劣化，人類的生存、生活、生產、生態將受到嚴重威脅。
2.土壤微生物及多樣性：土壤微生物多樣化是土壤管理的目標，是生態保育的基礎，亦是減少農業災害的根本，重視土壤微生物多樣性，才有健康的土壤環境，亦才有健康的人類，是值得全民重視的課題。
3.土壤微生物的應用實例：
(1)微生物肥料、 (2)廢棄物資源化再利用、 (3)污染土壤生物復育
4.結論及展望：健康土壤需要土壤微生物多樣性，合乎自然法則，才有安全農業，有農業永續經營，人類才能健康。需要加強土壤健康及微生物多樣性調查與研究、加強土壤微生物種原蒐集及遺傳鑑定、加強土壤微生物之研發利用研究，及改善農田灌溉水之品質，需要灌排分離，避免家庭污水進入農田。

「泛基因體學的產業化」新樂章　
整合醫農工微生物基因體學權威

美國國家衛生研究院（NIH）於2008年即投入1.15億美元，發起人類微生物基因體計畫（Human Microbiome Project, HMP）。越來越多研究證實，微生物組成的比例與變化，與許多疾病發生機制相關，有助用於治療、預防疾病的可能性。微生物基因體學堪稱人類基因體解碼的第二波聖戰。

由台北市生物產業協會主辦的「泛基因體學的產業化」發表會，亦於昨(7月1日)在臺灣生物科技大展舉行，主辦單位並特別邀請前經濟部部長何美玥、慈濟醫院林欣榮教授以及中研院院士楊秋忠等專家學者出席，共同商討微生物的應用及開發的可能。
