熬夜去黃美肌湯
材料:靈芝,石斛,花旗參,麥冬,杞子,排骨
功效:養肝,清熱生津(不寒不燥,一年四季都合適)
尤其適合熬夜一族,面色暗黃要變白的美女,吸煙黨,睡眠質素低及三高人仕,可去除排骨直接煲成養生茶飲用。
做法:將排骨出水,其餘材料洗淨,先猛火煲半小時,轉小火續煲一個半小時,加鹽飲得。
我麻麻地花旗參,醫師話唔加可以,改成淮山,紅棗紅豆都得。

中醫理論認為人體的陰陽處於平衡的狀態謂之健康,當陽氣超出正常水平,身體便會出現偏熱症狀,例如口乾、口臭、生口瘡、小便黃等,也就是俗語的「熱氣」,壓力大、多吃燒烤、火鍋、煎炸、辛辣食物都容易導致熱氣,這種熱為「實火」,此時就需要清熱,除了適量飲用涼茶,亦可以進食有清熱功效的食材例如冬瓜、青瓜、西瓜、火龍果、奇異果等。
如果是因為晚睡熬夜、久病體虛、更年期而導致兩顴潮紅、牙肉腫痛、生暗瘡、流鼻血、手腳心煩熱等「熱氣」症狀,這種熱是為「虛火」,代表人體陰氣不足,需要的是滋陰,宜多進食有滋陰功效的食物例如雪耳、百合、雪梨、石斛、麥冬、蜂蜜等,能夠早睡早起的話就更好了。
實熱茶療
功效:清熱排毒,紓緩出口瘡、暗瘡、口臭等實熱症狀。
材料:雞蛋花9克、菊花6克
做法:材料洗淨放保溫瓶,以熱開水沖洗一遍,注入熱開水焗5分鐘即可。
此茶可反覆沖泡至味淡,建議一星期飲用2-3天,連續兩星期為一個療程。
注意:脾胃虛弱、容易腹瀉人士不宜飲用。
虛熱茶療
功效:滋陰降火,紓緩口渴、出口瘡、咽痛等虛熱症狀。
材料:花旗參片9克、枸杞子15克
做法:材料洗淨放保溫瓶,以熱開水沖洗一遍,注入熱開水焗5分鐘即可。
此茶可反覆沖泡至味淡,建議一星期飲用2-3天,連續兩星期為一個療程。

Does everyone really know what heat ‘qi’ means?
Did your friends often say they feel like they have heat in body?
You bit your tongue? That’s from excessive heat!
Having a sore throat? That’s from excessive heat!
Discharge developed around the eyes? That’s from excessive heat!
According to Chinese medicine theories, the human body is considered healthy when both yin and yang are balanced. When the yang energy exceeds the normal threshold, our body will develop heat-related symptoms such as dry mouth, mouth odor, canker sores and yellowish urine. This is commonly known in Chinese as ‘Re Qi’, or literally means ‘the heat energy’.
Overwhelmed with stress, excessive consumption of barbequed food, steamboat, deep-fried and spicy food will cause the body to have excessive heat. To get rid of the heat, we should consume food that can clear body heat, such as winter melon, cucumber, watermelon, dragon fruit and kiwi fruit, besides just drinking cooling herbal tea.
If heat related symptoms such as redness on the cheeks, gum pain, acne, nosebleed, palms and foot soles feel hot when touched, are developed as a result of late-nights, weakness of the body due to chronic sickness and menopause, this is likely due to asthenic heat. This means the person lacks of the yin energy, and needs to be replenished. It is good to consume food such as snow fungus, lily bulb, pear, dendrobium, radix ophiopogonis and honey. Individuals with such body conditions are also advised to sleep and wake up early.
Healing tea for excess heat
Effects: clears heat and detoxifies, alleviates symptoms of canker sores, sore throat induced by excess heat.
Ingredients: plumeria 9g, chrysanthemum 6g
Preparation: Place all ingredients into thermos and add in hot water and steep for 5 minutes until aroma develops. This tea can be re-browed until flavour weakens. For best results, drink consecutively for 2-3 days. Two weeks for a treatment.
Note: Those with asthenic week spleen and stomach and prone to diarrhea should take with caution.
Healing tea for asthenic heat
Effects: nourishes yin and clears asthenic heat, alleviates thirst, canker sores and sore throat
induced by asthenic heat.
Ingredients: American ginseng 9g, wolfberry 15g
Preparation: Place all ingredients into thermos and add in hot water and steep for 5 minutes until aroma develops. This tea can be re-browed until flavour weakens. For best results, drink consecutively for 2-3 days. Two weeks for a treatment.

花旗參緩解熬夜虛熱
香港地不少人都患上「晚睡強逼症」,因為忙碌了一天,晚上的私人時光格外珍貴,總想多做幾件事,結果熬夜缺睡不但會導致精神緊張及心情煩躁,中醫理論認為熬夜會傷「陰」,「陰」氣不足令陽氣相對偏盛,造成陰虛,身體就會出現虛熱症狀,包括口渴、出口瘡、咽喉痛等等。當出現以上症狀時,很多人會以為自己「熱氣」,喝涼茶清熱會削減陽氣,結果陰陽俱虛,其實滋陰才是治本之法。
中醫認為花旗參有補氣養陰、清虛火、生津止渴的功效,能紓緩熬夜晚睡引致的心煩口渴、小便量少色黃、大便偏乾、口乾等虛熱症狀,而且亦有解酒、抗疲勞及增強免疫力作用。簡單用花旗參片沖水當茶喝,或者配合其它食材煲湯作食療亦可。惟注意因為屬性寒涼,虛寒體質、有胃寒胃痛、舌苔發白者不宜食用。
滋陰潤燥湯水小貼士:
適當地添加滋陰潤燥食材如雪梨、雪耳、沙參、玉竹、百合、麥冬、枸杞子等。
老黃瓜花旗參石斛素湯
功效:滋陰潤燥,紓緩因熬夜晚睡而引致的口乾、口瘡、咽喉痛、煩躁等症狀。
材料:老黃瓜1個、紅蘿蔔1根、花旗參15克、石斛15克、甘羅漢果半個
做法:
1. 所有材料洗淨,老黃瓜切塊、甘羅漢果捏碎備用。
2. 鍋內加入約2000毫升水,除花旗參外放入全部材料,以武火煮至水滾,調文火煮約1小時,加入花旗參煮5-10分鐘,最後下鹽調味即可。
注意:虛寒體質、有胃寒胃痛、舌苔發白者不宜飲用。
American Ginseng for night owls
Many people in Hong Kong have frequent late nights. As they usually have busy days, private time at night is quite precious, and they always want to do more things. Staying up late and not having adequate sleep can not only lead to mental stress and irritability, but Chinese medicine believes that staying up late will hurt yin. Lack of yin can lead to overactive yang qi, causing yin deficiency and you may experience symptoms of asthenic heat such as excessive thirst, canker sore, sore throat. Some may mistakenly believe they have heat and drink herbal tea to clear heat. This further reduces yang qi, leading to both yin and yang deficiency. In reality, nourishing yin is the right thing to do.
Chinese medicine believes that American ginseng has the effects of replenishing qi, nourishing yin, clearing asthenic fire, promoting fluid production and relieving thirst. It can relieve late night induced asthenic heat symptoms such as irritability, thirst, low volume and yellow urination, dried stools and dry mouth. It can help to sober up, fight fatigue and enhance immunity. Simply brew the American Ginseng slices or combine it with other ingredients to make soup. As it is cold in nature, those with asthenic cold body constitutions, cold and stomach pain and white tongue coating should not have.
Tips for soup to nourish yin and relieve dryness:
Appropriately add in ingredients to nourish yin and relieve dryness such as pear, snow fungus, radix adenophorae, radix ophiopogonis, lily bulb, radix ophiopogonis, wolfberries.
Old cucumber soup with American ginseng and dendrobium
Effects: nourishes yin and relieves dryness. Suitable for late night related dry mouth, canker sore, sore throat, irritability.
Ingredients: 1 old cucumber, 1 carrot, 15g American ginseng, 15g dendrobium, half a monk fruit
Preparation:
1. Rinse all ingredients thoroughly. Cut the old cucumber into pieces. Crack the monk fruit into pieces.
2. Combine all ingredients (except American ginseng) with 2000ml of water in a pot and cook on high heat until boiling. Turn to low heat and simmer for 1 hour. Add American ginseng into pot and simmer for 5-10 minutes. Add salt to taste.
Note: Not suitable for those with asthenic cold body constitutions, cold and stomach pain and white tongue coating.
