Had a great time catching up with our Team Singapore athletes who will be participating in the upcoming Tokyo 2020 Olympics and Paralympic Games. You can take a look here: go.gov.sg/sppsiv
The pandemic has made this a very challenging year for athletes preparing for the Games. The demands on those who are also on the front line of COVID-19, like Joan Poh who is a nurse at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, have been tremendous. Nevertheless, our athletes have persevered in their training and are raring to go. Their focus, resilience and adaptability to changing circumstances are inspiring!
There are many new faces in this year’s contingent – 21 athletes from Team Singapore will be making their debuts at the Games. They will be competing across a range of events, including for the first time in diving, equestrian, marathon swimming and powerlifting.
Join me to cheer on our athletes for the Olympics and the Paralympics. Your support means a lot. To our athletes, all the best for the upcoming Games! We are all rooting for you. Continue to fly the Singapore flag high! 🇸🇬 – LHL
