CheckCheckCin:從中醫角度來看,體型肥胖、食慾不佳、水腫、容易疲倦都是痰濕體質的常見症狀,體內聚積太多濕氣未能排出,身體猶如被濕毛巾裹着一樣,就算睡足6-8小時仍疲倦不堪,當然會像樹懶一樣懶得動。立心減肥是一個好開始,不過首要著重祛濕,排走多餘濕氣能令減肥過程事半功倍,宜戒掉生冷食物及飲品;適量進食粗糧如米飯、番薯、薯仔、白扁豆、薏米、淮山等健脾食材,以及有祛濕功效的冬瓜、粟米鬚等;多做運動排汗;沒法微調飲食習慣,也要每天喝一杯米水,強化脾胃,驅走濕氣。改善體質可以改變性格,性格可以改變命運,加油!
黨參茯苓扁豆衣茶
功效:益氣健脾、利水祛濕。
材料:黨參9克、茯苓6克、扁豆衣9克
做法:材料剪碎洗淨放保溫瓶,以熱開水沖洗一遍,注入熱開水焗約15分鐘即可。此茶可反覆沖泡至味淡,建議一星期連續飲用3-4天,連續兩星期為一個療程。

Dispel dampness to improve sloth-like personality
“I’m quite plump even when though I’m not a big eater. Edema is a constant struggle for my body, and I feel lethargic all the time. My friends even make fun of me by calling me a sloth. I want to turn my life around. I want to get a better job and find myself a partner. Should I start by losing weight?”
CheckCheckCin: From the perspective of Chinese Medicine, symptoms like plump, appetite loss, edema, and fatigue reflect the phlegm-dampness body constitution. Having dampness accumulated in the body is like having a wet towel wrapped around the body, so even after 6-8 hours of sleep, you will still feel exhausted and move like a sloth.
Losing weight is a good start, but you should primarily dispel dampness from the body first. Once you are able to get rid of the excess dampness, you should be able to shed some pounds more effectively.
Avoid consuming raw and cold foods and beverages. Instead, eat coarse grains such as rice, sweet potatoes, potatoes, white hyacinth bean, coix seed, and Chinese yam, as they could strengthen the spleen. Also, you can eat winter gourd and corn silk as they are effective in getting rid of dampness.
Do exercise and sweat regularly. If you cannot adjust your diet, drink a cup of rice water a day to strengthen the stomach and spleen and to dispel dampness from the body. Improving the body constitution can also change our personality, and with a positive change on our personality, we can change our destiny. Good luck!
Codonopsis root and poria tea with hyacinth bean coat
Effects: strengthens the qi and spleen, induces diuresis to reduce swelling.
Ingredients: 9g Codonopsis root, 6g poria, 9g hyacinth bean coat
Preparation: Cut up the ingredients and place them into thermos, rinse once with hot water, and add in hot water and steep for 15 minutes. This tea can be re-brewed until its flavor weakens. For best results, drink consecutively for 3-4 days. Two weeks for a treatment.

What motherhood is like for me?
Lots of nappy change. Baby sleep, I pump. Baby woke up, I feed, then I pump again. Once I’m done pumping, (while baby is sleeping), I quickly eat my dinner and wash all the used milk bottles, refill my water tumbler and do some light cleaning in my room. Before i’m even done, baby is awake because she knows it’s bath time. I’ll change her diapers, bathe her, put on pyjamas and took a quick shower bcs it’s feeding time soon.. With my damp hair, I have to attend to baby’s cry bcs she wants milk milk by now.. And as I’m typing this, I’m pumping again. If u think 3 hours is long enough to do a lot of things, well, it’s really not.. especially when you have a baby and when you need to pump 7x a day. No one tells you that life changes immediately after you’re married, then it changed her again after you gave birth. There is no manual. There is no manual about having to care for a family, your child, your career, your dream, and everything just seems to be on a no-hand-break mode, you just gotta go and get it done. Sometimes I feel like I’m driving at 180/h with windows down- there is no time to even blink!
It’s a little scary to admit out loud that I am really tired to do it all at once. Is it bad to admit that I love work because I get to spend a few hours away from being a mother to me - who thrive under pressure, who love work and achieving milestones. Who chased dreams for myself. Or is it bad if I want to take a few hours longer to sleep in my bed without having to wake up and greet the entire household?
Negativities are louder in our own mind so it’s important to find small happiness while you’re ticking off your to-do-list by days. They get softer and weaker with contentment. Count your gratitude, manifest your good energy and accept your flaws.
