If there’s one book I wish to leave for my academic legacy, this may be the one. I hope to update it every ten years till I can’t read any more. I’m unsure where my publishing marathon will end…60 books? 70 books? 100 books? Who knows?

😆This will be a call from a publisher asking me for a book!
Actually, I have finished writing one and sent it to a publisher. Now it’s fingers crossed and waiting for a promising answer!
From the decisive moment of my determination, the first, and in fact the only, task I have accomplished has been spending three months on completing my first book. To help it publish was the main purpose for my Facebook page; the larger the audience for MaggieLu is, the greater chance for my book will be.
I have already formulated the upcoming steps I am to take. After a successful publication, I want to go into schools, to give speeches to students who have yet to taste their first defeats in the real world. I also want to host a show about finances. My academic and professional background in a back will be of great assistance for me to convey to the public the right ways and ideas for managing money. Of course my list grows much longer than these, but I must be careful and persevere in my determination.

😉If you ever find yourself riding an emotional rollercoaster, whether you are at the peak or plummeting downhill, you are always welcome to share with me my rumination on the five categories listed on MaggieLu; perhaps, by chance, you may find the answer that has been eluding you. When I was trapped in a state of extreme confusion, it was a colossal congregation of words that lifted me out from that sense of loss. Now that I have walked past that threshold, I am keen to share, to tell people that there is someone who has been imprisoned in the exact same spot, that they are not alone, and that a solution is always just around the corner. There is no reason to be frightened. I have tried this and found it useful; perhaps it is time for you to try it, and may your predicament be gone from your life, quick as the receding clouds, making way for a brighter day.

LOẠI 1: Request for information (liên hệ/hỏi thông tin)
Đây là loại email được sử dụng phổ biến khi nhu cầu tìm kiếm thông tin là không bao giờ thừa. Mình có 2 ví dụ dưới đây để các bạn thấy được những thông tin mình cần đưa vào email này là gì nha:
Ví dụ 1: Khi mình cần viết email cho giáo sư xin cơ hội thực tập ở bậc cử nhân (có thể là trong và ngoài nước)

LOẠI 2: Reply to request for information (trả lời email yêu cầu thông tin)
Sẽ khá mất thời gian nếu chúng ta cần gửi email qua lại nhiều lần cho một vấn đề. Do đó, chúng mình cần lưu ý trả lời đúng và đủ những câu hỏi nhận được.
Ví dụ 3: lần này sẽ là câu trả lời từ mình dành cho một ban nhạc gửi ngỏ ý muốn biểu diễn ở trường mình và biết thêm thông tin về lịch diễn.

為何英文能力無法提升?
學生的語言能力可分成兩種，一種是基本人際交談能力（Basic Interpersonal Communication Skills丶BICS），另一種則是認知和學術的語言能力(Cognitive Academic Language Proficiency丶CALP) ，意指學生所需擁有的較高層次語言以完成學校的課業，、或是在以學科內容為基礎的環境下，透過較複雜的口語或寫作來傳達對某學科的資訊、概念、分析及論點。
BICS會話語言的學習並不太困難。對學生來說，難點在於CALP學術語言的使用，學生一般要求更長時間才能把握學術語言。會話語言十分依賴說話的語境，依賴語境的語言使用方式傾向於把世界建構成變動不居、正在發生的「事」，讓人參與、互動，建構切身的經驗；學術語言盡量獨立於特定的語境，把世界建構成存在的、凝定下來的「物」，讓人能夠超越個人經驗，整體把握或層分細析。無疑，沒人可以否認切身體驗是學習知識的一個極重要途徑，但個人化的經驗只能提供較狹隘的世界知識，而且往往不夠典型而富誤導性。通過學術語言，人接觸到紛紜的世界知識，這是難以由其他途徑獲得的，因而具學術語言能力的人較能超越語境地思考，給人提供了獨特的機會掌握陳述知識。忽略學術語言能力的訓練，對學生的語文能力發展是一個災難。

5. Study by yourself and with others
6. Always seek help and ask for feedback
7. Periodically assess your progress
8. Adjust your study plan according to your assessments and feedback from teachers
