📊The Federal Reserve unanimously approved on Thursday a new strategy that will effectively set aside a practice it has followed for more than three decades to pre-emptively lift interest rates to head off higher inflation.
聯準會於週四一致通過採行「平均通脹目標」的新策略，將棄守三十多年來一直遵循的作法，也就是不再主動升息來抵銷高通膨的影響。

💵Fed Chairman Jerome Powell unveiled the updates in a speech set for delivery at a virtual symposium on Thursday, the most ambitious revamp of the Fed policy-setting framework since it was first approved in 2012. The practical effect is that it may be a very long time before the Fed considers raising interest rates.
主席傑洛姆・鮑威爾於週四舉行的線上全球央行年會上發表最新聲明，這是自2012年以來對其貨幣政策架構最為雄心勃勃的改革。這暗示了聯準會可能在很長一段時間內不會考慮升息。

💡Mr. Powell said the changes reflected lessons the central bank officials had learned in recent years about how inflation didn’t rise as anticipated when unemployment fell to historically low levels. “It reflects our view that a robust job market can be sustained without causing an outbreak of inflation,” said Mr. Powell.
鮑威爾表示，這些貨幣政策的變化反映了央行官員近年來學習到的教訓，也就是當失業率降至歷史低點的時候，通膨率並沒有如預期超標。「此框架反映了我們的觀點，穩健的就業市場可以持續走強，不見得會引發高度通膨，」鮑威爾說。
