Tragic images of animals trapped in plastic have become a global symbol of the issues concerning plastic pollution. But how would we react if people suffered the same way? It can be quite disturbing, actually (watch the video with the sound on 📢)
A romantic day at the beach turns into a dystopian reality when people get caught in and disfigured by trash, fishing nets and plastic from the ocean. #PlasticPeople is a reminder that humans are a part of the same nature that we pollute. A call to change our culture of single-use plastics.
The movie is released before #OurOcean2019 in Oslo - an annual conference focusing on a clean and healthy marine environment, where global leaders, industry and public figures will discuss the issues, however, the public and NGOs are not invited to join the discussions.
PLEASE SHARE THIS VIDEO if you want the global leaders and corporates at #OurOcean2019 to take serious action on single-use plastic and switch to reuseables.
The movie is produced by Ida Andreasen in collaboration with Bacon Production. #singleusesucks #breakfreefromplastic

====
Single-use plastics pose a major threat to our climate. Research states that over 99% of plastic is made from fossil fuel.
Since corporations aren't taking responsibility for their role in creating the plastic pollution problem, we're taking action to hold the top corporate plastic polluters accountable.
Coca Cola, Nestlé, PepsiCo, Mondelēz International, and Unilever, we’re looking at you.
