Mummy said she’s on the verge of breaking down…
𝙎𝙡𝙚𝙚𝙥 𝙙𝙚𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙫𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣. Woke up every 2 hours to pump/ breastfeed is really crazy. By the time I’m done, I’m probably left with another 30 mins or so for the next session. I’m not sure how some mothers can sleep in between sessions 😔 I skipped 1-2 session so that I can sleep but usually end up with engorged breast. I don’t even need any alarm to wake me up 😵💫
𝙁𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙜𝙪𝙚. On daily pain killer 💊 is a must for me in order for bae to do my wound dressing. It is cleaned twice a day. It’s an open wound, cut vertically on my existing scar. 🩸Fresh pink/ red flesh can be seen on my lower abdomen but so far I had probably only seen it less than 5 times. I left the details to hubby 🙋🏻♂️and he’ll summarize for me whether my condition is improving or worsen bcs I have very weak heart seeing “bloody-gruesome” wound like this. But so far, thankfully, it’s healing well. 🙏🏻 It’s been 2 weeks since, doc told me I need a minimum 1 month for the wound to “close up”. Let’s hope for the best!💯
𝘽𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙙𝙤𝙬𝙣. Despite staying indoor and ordered everything online, number of Covid cases is still on the high side. 😒 Hospitals are running out of bed, front liners are breaking down. Many committed suicide because of the continuous lockdown (failed gov). Rakyat are suffering. 💔 Me too, the need to socialize and to dine out on my fav food is so far-fetched (Impossible! Unrealistic!) with the current situation. But everyone in Malaysia has been like this since, what? last year? I even lost count of the time. 😢 But I know it has been like this for a very very very long time… Trapped at home for way too long felt like living in hell! Did we all just wasted our lives for the past 2 years waiting for our gov to make things better! Sigh… I only saw how things got worse! 😮💨
𝙋𝙤𝙤𝙧 𝘼𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙩𝙚. One of the reason is due to my wound too. 🤕 And with weaker body, contributes to weaker state of mind too due to restricted movement etc. Confinement food is also not what I enjoy when I was having poor appetite 🤢. Still prefer food which offer balance meals and variety. 👩🏻⚕️Yes, doc said I have no food restriction after I clarified with them. I even showered daily bcs of my visit to NICU and hospital for the first two weeks🏥, followed by my admission in hosp due to my csec wound. Hygiene is very important 🛀, especially during the pandemic. ⚠️ I do not want to bring any viruses home to my family. 🦠 Not at all.
𝙂𝘿𝙈. Gestational diabetes is high blood sugar (glucose) 📝 that develops during pregnancy and usually disappears after giving birth. I was on controlled diet 🍛 throughout my pregnancy and I will have to take another test this August to confirm if GDM still exist. And because of this, I’m also a lil bit depressed 😪 bcs I can’t reward myself with some good dessert or ice creams!🍦 This is the real zero quality of life when you don’t get to enjoy life up to your liking/ preference 🖤! Not when you’re a foodie right! Sorry for the zero update on my food ig @𝙨𝙝𝙚𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙨_𝙨𝙝𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙤𝙠𝙨 too! 🥵
I just hope all the bad and unhappy times will be over soon. 👎 This is not a rant, just a confession of what’s really going on in my pregnancy journey🤰🏻. Not all motherhood journey is a bed of roses. But comparing this to my cancer journey, this is definitely much better 🍀. Because out of the pain and misery, I have Isabelle with me 👶🏻. She’s healthy, sweet, adorable and quite manageable so far. Just a lil bit out of control when she’s hungry🍼! Hahaha! I’m mastering it soon on how to deal with her tantrum 😆 Just offer her the boobies🤱🏻!

So it’s not really common but girls which almost reaching the age of 30 or maybe after 25-26 should really have their yearly check up, not just the usual blood test but also the breast screening as well. Especially to detect the early stage of breast cancer.
Our schools and uni never really taught me to go for health care or get screening until lately after getting married and to have a detail check out. I found that there are two breast lumps on me. One 1.8cm and another one is much smaller. I only found it yesterday and the moment when I go through ultrasound, it was quite scary as the person who do the ultrasound for me looking quite serious.
Then due to the size of the lumps is quite big, they advice me to come check up once every 5-6 months and if I feel any unusual on my breast, I should go look for them again. My friends who went to health check with me also have the same things but her lumps is much smaller than mine.
I think it’s really common nowadays to have unexpected issues on our body but I really wish that everyone can know how important it is to have a health screening and checking yearly. Especially for female the common breast and cervical cancer.
As I only did once blood test two years ago, I doesn’t have any reference or past result to compare see whether any changes or whatsoever. I don’t want just share about beauty or travel related content but I would love to raise up the awareness of this.
Please plan for your health check every year and make sure you know what’s going on. So I pray my lumps is a good one not the bad one and not growing or become any bigger. If not I might need to go through surgery to remove it.
Tag and tell your friend to go health check together with you. It will be less scary like how I did yesterday with Smelly & our friends. Hope that everyone can stay healthy and pls get your health check yearly ya ❤️

BREAST CANCER AWARENESS #2: SOY IS NOT AN ESTROGEN- The false notion that Soy protein acts like an estrogen is simply not true. First, there is no estrogen in soy as you can see on the slide. Soy isoflavones are healthy antioxidant phytonutrients. In test tube studies with breast cancer cells they act like anti-estrogens in the presence of estrogen you would find in the blood of any man or woman at any age. Women and men produce estrogens from body fat, so too much body fat leads to love handles and man boobs. However, in studies from my lab and others, it is clear that many phytonutrients including soy isoflavones bind very weakly (1/1000th as well as estrogen) to an estrogen receptor protein involved in estrogen’s effects in cells only when there is no estrogen around. You can create these conditions in a mouse by removing the ovaries and these experiments created a lot of confusion for women with regard to breast cancer and for male athletes afraid of growing male breast tissue. Overweight and obesity as well as testosterone which can be converted to estrogen causes breast enlargement in men. Soy is the highest quality protein in the plant world and is a vital tool in fighting the global epidemic of obesity. It is widely available and 2/3 of the world’s population is lactose-intolerant and cannot cow’s milk or dairy products. Combinations of other proteins like quinoa, pea protein, and flaxseed among others can imitate the quality of soy but at greater cost. Women concerned about breast cancer have no reason to avoid soy, but many doctors don’t know this. These days, perception is reality. So if you want to avoid soy, you have other choices, but forget about soy being an estrogen!! Next time
