A real sharing of myself, I must admit that I am a person who have learned to “play safe” in most occasions and try my best to avoid any uncertainties. May be this is influenced by my mother who has the same character, what she always say is “I am not good at learning things, I cannot face uncertainty in this age, what if something bad happened?”⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When I grow up, and also being influenced by my hubby these few years, my mindset started to change. My hubby has a totally different character, he is an “adventure person”. While my mother walks away from uncertainty, he embraces it, and even find it fun to be in it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Take driving as an example. Another friend “A” told me few days ago “I will not learn driving, because driving on the street is so dangerous, there are so many uncertainties that may happen, what if some other drive get drunk and go crazy? What if there is traffic accident? What if... what if...? I cannot afford such level of uncertainty!” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I share the same feeling before, especially driving in Hong Kong, such a busy city, what if? What if? What if? . Thus, although I want to learn driving long time ago, I don’t take the initiative to do it until my hubby suddenly applied it by himself! After getting the driving licence for more than one year now, I get to know what I am worrying is actually just fuelled by my imagination, all of the “what if” have not happened. And driving is actually so much fun and so convenient, if I don’t overcome the fear, if I don’t decide to want the dream more than I fear the reality, then I will never know that. Those who like driving will understand what I mean and I feel proud that I have taken such step which lead to one of the big change in my life. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
