When you Can’t See the Supply
“All the congregation of the children of Israel traveled from the wilderness of Sin, by their journeys, according to Yahweh’s commandment, and encamped in Rephidim; but there was no water for the people to drink. Therefore the people quarreled with Moses, and said, “Give us water to drink.” Moses said to them, “Why do you quarrel with me? Why do you test Yahweh?” The people were thirsty for water there; and the people murmured against Moses, and said, “Why have you brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us, our children, and our livestock with thirst?” Moses cried to Yahweh, saying, “What shall I do with these people? They are almost ready to stone me.” Yahweh said to Moses, “Walk on before the people, and take the elders of Israel with you, and take the rod in your hand with which you struck the Nile, and go. Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock in Horeb. You shall strike the rock, and water will come out of it, that the people may drink.” Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.”(Exodus 17:1-6 WEB)
The name of the place “Rephidim” in the wilderness of Sin means “place in the desert”. When the children of Israel were encamped at Rephidim, they were thirsty and there was no water source in sight.
This represents a situation in life where you can’t see the supply. It’s like you feel trapped with no possible way out.
When we walk by sight, we will be more conscious of the lack.
However, when you trust God, you will know that even in an ‘impossible’ situation, God has already prepared the supply that you need.
God will bring the water of supply out of the rock for you.
“and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of a spiritual rock that followed them, and the rock was Christ.” (1 Corinthians 10:4 WEB)
The apostle Paul taught us the revelation that the rock was a picture of Christ.
God brought nourishment and life out for us when Christ was stricken. When did this happen?
At the cross, Jesus was punished for our sins so that we could receive His righteousness, and obtain every blessing from God.
In whatever desert situation you find yourself in now, keep your eyes on Jesus. The water you need to quench your thirst will come from Christ who was stricken for your sake!

Holy Spirit Indwelling Old Testament Saints
Who says that the Holy Spirit did not indwell anyone in Old Testament times before the cross?
The following passages show some examples of men who had the Holy Spirit in them (in means “indwelling”, not just “on” which is the temporary anointing upon a person that lifts after the Spirit has completed His purpose).
Joseph had the Spirit of God in him:
“And Pharaoh said to his servants, “Can we find such a one as this, a man in whom is the Spirit of God?” Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Inasmuch as God has shown you all this, there is no one as discerning and wise as you.” (Genesis 41:38-39 NKJV)
Joshua had the Spirit of God in him (The Lord said so):
“And the LORD said to Moses: “Take Joshua the son of Nun with you, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay your hand on him; set him before Eleazar the priest and before all the congregation, and inaugurate him in their sight.” (Numbers 27:18-19 NKJV)
Daniel had the Spirit of God in him:
“But at last Daniel came before me (his name is Belteshazzar, according to the name of my god; in him is the Spirit of the Holy God), and I told the dream before him, saying: “Belteshazzar, chief of the magicians, because I know that the Spirit of the Holy God is in you, and no secret troubles you, explain to me the visions of my dream that I have seen, and its interpretation.” (Daniel 4:8-9 NKJV)
Now, before you say that Pharaoh and Nebuchadnezzar are not trustworthy sources because they were pagans, do not forget that God uses rulers as mouthpieces sometimes—even those who did not have true faith in Him. An example would be Caiaphas the High Priest who kept on resisting Jesus:
“And one of them, Caiaphas, being high priest that year, said to them, “You know nothing at all, nor do you consider that it is expedient for us that one man should die for the people, and not that the whole nation should perish.” Now this he did not say on his own authority; but being high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus would die for the nation, and not for that nation only, but also that He would gather together in one the children of God who were scattered abroad.” (John 11:49-52 NKJV)
Jesus said that those who don’t believe or heed His words are not of God, but of their father, the devil. Caiaphas may have held the office of high priest, but he was not a true believer in Yahweh since he kept opposing Jesus.
This makes him no holier than Pharaoh or Nebuchadnezzar.
It is interesting to note also that God called Nebuchadnezzar His servant, and later on, Nebuchadnezzar did place his faith in Yahweh.
“And now I have given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, My servant; and the beasts of the field I have also given him to serve him.” (Jeremiah 27:6 NKJV)
The Holy Spirit cannot indwell a defiled spirit that is dead in sin. Since He was able to indwell Joseph, Joshua, and Daniel, this means that Jesus’ blood at the cross has always been effective to cleanse people from their sins. There were vessels fit for the Holy Spirit even in Old Testament times.
It was just God’s mystery hidden from the world, until the right time came to proclaim this truth openly. Some Old Testament saints tapped into this truth unknowingly, and received the benefits of God’s grace.
Consider how Enoch and Elijah, two men who lived before the cross, were able to be received into Heaven. They have never died and are still alive there. How can they have sin in them and be accepted in Heaven? They must have already been cleansed from their sins.

Bring a Good Report
“They told him, and said, “We came to the land where you sent us. Surely it flows with milk and honey, and this is its fruit. However the people who dwell in the land are strong, and the cities are fortified and very large. Moreover, we saw the children of Anak there. Amalek dwells in the land of the South. The Hittite, the Jebusite, and the Amorite dwell in the hill country. The Canaanite dwells by the sea, and along the side of the Jordan.” Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, “Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it!” But the men who went up with him said, “We aren’t able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.” They brought up an evil report of the land which they had spied out to the children of Israel, saying, “The land, through which we have gone to spy it out, is a land that eats up its inhabitants; and all the people who we saw in it are men of great stature. There we saw the Nephilim, the sons of Anak, who come from the Nephilim. We were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.”” (Numbers 13:27-33 WEB)
The twelve men Moses sent out to spy the land were princes of each respective tribe of Israel.
Ten spies brought back an evil report of the land, whereas only Joshua and Caleb gave a good report.
These princes who were leaders of the tribes can represent spiritual leaders like pastors who are entrusted with God’s flocks.
Pastors should not be preaching fear as if the enemy is so much stronger than us.
“Be careful, or the devil will get you. The devil is very crafty and the whole world is under his sway.”
When a pastor keeps talking about the devil, is he really preaching the Gospel which produces faith, or preaching the bad news of the devil which produces fear?
Spiritual leaders ought not to mislead their congregations this way.
While the ten spies saw large and fortified cities built by giants as a scary obstacle, Joshua and Caleb were excited, seeing those cities as their soon-to-be possessions to house the children of Israel.
The ten spies were focusing on how large and imposing the giants were, but Joshua and Caleb were only conscious of how mighty Yahweh is, and they believed that He would give them the victory.
“Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, who were of those who spied out the land, tore their clothes. They spoke to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying, “The land, which we passed through to spy it out, is an exceeding good land. If Yahweh delights in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it to us; a land which flows with milk and honey. Only don’t rebel against Yahweh, neither fear the people of the land; for they are bread for us. Their defense is removed from over them, and Yahweh is with us. Don’t fear them.” But all the congregation threatened to stone them with stones. Yahweh’s glory appeared in the Tent of Meeting to all the children of Israel. Yahweh said to Moses, “How long will this people despise me? and how long will they not believe in me, for all the signs which I have worked among them?” (Numbers 14:6-11 WEB)
Joshua and Caleb were free from fear because they believed that Yahweh was on their side.
When there is an imposing challenge in your path that has the potential for huge gains, see the Lord generously giving the victory to you. If it is truly an exceedingly good land, and the Lord brought you to that point, He will also supply you with the grace to overcome all difficulties.
While the ten princes saw themselves as grasshoppers in the giants’ sight, Joshua and Caleb saw the giants as bread to be easily devoured! Two drastically different beliefs because the ten princes did not have faith in Yahweh, whereas Joshua and Caleb believed in Him.
In the end, the glory of the Lord appeared and He rebuked the people for their bad opinion of Him and the unbelief in their hearts.
Even though He had worked mighty signs and wonders in Egypt, the Red Sea, and in the wilderness, the children of Israel were so hard-hearted that they forgot all the amazing things that the Lord had done for them.
If you have been entrusted with leadership over God’s people, make sure you are preaching the Gospel (good news) to them, painting a vision of a good God who loves His people and who is mighty to save in any situation. Christians don’t need any more negativity or fear—they already get that from the world in their daily lives.
When you encounter a new challenge, focus on the bigness of your God, not on the strength of your enemies. No matter what shape, size, or form they come in, God is still more powerful than all of them combined, and He will give you the victory when you trust in Him.
A new faith declaration: “The size or power of my enemy is irrelevant because my God is so much greater than any enemy. My God is with me and I am victorious through Him who loves me!”
Keep studying God’s word and growing in your understanding of His ways. Our Patreon community is currently on a Bible study series called “My Faith Declarations” which looks at the Spirit-inspired utterances of the authors of the Psalms. They wrote about the trials and tribulations they experienced, so the book of Psalms is very relatable.
By turning their faith declarations into our own, we can learn how to overcome similar circumstances in life through faith in the Lord! Farcry 5 สรุปเนื้อเรื่อง
The game is set in the fictional Hope County, Montana, where a preacher named Joseph Seed (portrayed by Greg Bryk) has risen to prominence. Seed believes that he has been chosen to protect the people of Hope County from an "inevitable collapse" and has established a congregation called Eden's Gate. Ostensibly, this is to fulfill his mission of leading the people to salvation; in reality, Seed is a radical preacher and Eden's Gate is a militaristic doomsday cult. Under his rule, Eden's Gate has used both coercion and violence to forcibly convert the residents of Hope County, and intimidation to keep them from contacting the outside world for help. When an attempt to arrest Seed ends with the deaths of several lawmen, the player is swept into the armed conflict between Eden's Gate and the remaining Hope County residents, who are organizing themselves into a resistance movement.
The player takes on the role of deputy , a sheriff's deputy who is part of the task force sent to Hope County to arrest Seed. Seed has assumed the title of "the Father" and maintains control over Hope County with the aid of his siblings, known as "the Heralds": Jacob, a former military officer who oversees their armed soldiers; John, a lawyer who has been able to acquire much of the land in Hope County for Eden's Gate; and Faith, who acts as a pacifist to bring the people to believe and trust in her older brother. The residents of Hope County opposed to Seed include a cast of characters who join the fight with motives ranging from altruism to revenge, profit and boredom
