I used to think, as a creative, building routine into my daily life would be destructive to my creativity. It would bore my mind and numb my spark of freedom and spontaneity.

But as I started studying routines and building them into my daily life - I realise it not only boosts my productivity at work, but it surprisingly allows me to have more space to be creative.

By auto-piloting things in my daily life, I am able to declutter my mind, save precious mental capacity for more important things and to be more creative.
�Because we only have a limited reserve of mental capacity, it is important to minimise mind space for what isn’t necessary - so that we can create mind space for better and more creative things.
