Rehearsals with the Austronesian family. Because we don’t live in the same countries, our time is filled with jamming & rehearsals 🌿🌿🌿 What is Austronesia? The Austronesian peoples are a huge group of various peoples in Southeast Asia, Taiwan, Oceania and Madagascar that speak Austronesian languages. It is the fifth-largest language family in the world (by number of speakers); the major languages include Malay, Javanese, Tagalog; and also many endangered languages. We are part of this language group because we share the same history and heritage; a lineage that was a result of our sea-faring ancestors. Where is this information in our history books?? Not there.
Along with many other historical stories. Guys, there is SO much about our land and people that is left out of our history books and it’s up to us to stand up and share our stories. Who’s with me? Photo by @bonwu_photography
