英國政界教育元老為學生發聲

上星期英國無考試嘅A-Level放榜，電腦演算方式downgrade咗四成學生由老師推薦嘅成績，演變成政府、考試局同教育大臣嘅輿論災難。由於公立學校出色啲嗰班學生係重災區，有學生示威，亦有家長準備告政府，而名牌大學學生會要求大學無視A-Level成績，直接破例比嗰啲conditional offer，睇黎好快首相Boris Johnson好快要出黎補鑊。
學生比較少嘅A-Level都搞到咁，一樣因為疫情無試考，用同樣方法計分嘅GCSE會考成績响黎緊星期四就公布，好自然會引爆另一輪爭拗。就係因為咁，响戴卓爾年代做教育大臣，當年推行GCSE嘅Lord Baker（被稱為GCSE之父）就為呢班中學考生出聲，要求政府推遲公布成績。
"If you are in a hole, stop digging...their algorithm is flawed. The A-level results have produced hundreds of thousands of unfair and barely explicable downgrades. They have helped smaller private schools but hit the brighter students in poorly-performing state schools."
（如果自己（政府）响個窿度，就唔好再掘啦。個演算根本就有缺陷，A-Level已經製造咗千萬個明眼人都睇得出唔公平嘅downgrade。個制度只係幫到少部份嘅私校，而重創响表現差嘅公立學校讀得叻嘅學生。）
既然同屬一個政黨，當年自己推出嘅政策出咗問題，上咗神台，呢位老人家大可以唔出聲，甚至講風涼話嘅。
