過去這幾周，Bee在哪裡呢？答案是厄瓜多的加拉巴哥群島！
Where was Bee in the past few weeks? the answer is Galapagos, Ecuador!!

加拉巴哥群島又稱科隆群島，位於厄瓜多外海赤道的地方。由七個大島和二十三個小島組成，為火山群島。「加拉巴哥」在西班牙文中就是烏龜的意思，所以這裡最有名的就是照片裡的加拉巴哥大象龜！！！！！

超多！！！野生的！！保育中心的！！都好多好多好多隻喔！！！好可愛！！！！

當年達爾文來這裡時，就帶了好幾隻走說要獻給英國女王。結果....在漫長的航行中....居然這些龜就被吃光了....也因此，歐洲水手們知道這種象龜可以最長八個月不吃不喝也不會死，所以當年很多航海家會把加拉巴哥群島當成一個中途補給站，抓一堆象龜當存糧。也因此這裡的象龜數量驟減，是後來才禁抓加保育才恢復的。

在這裡看到野生的龜漫步在馬路上，真的好幸福喔！！！！我的海龜博士也好開心～～～

Galapagos Islands is also called the Islands of Colon. It is located in Ecuador at the equator. It consists of 7 large islands and 23 small islands, all volcanic. "Galapagos" means turtles in Spanish, hence it is well known for the giant tortoises!!!!

SO MANY!!!! In the WILD!!!! In the CONSERVATORY CENTER!!! SO MANY and SO CUTE!!!!!

When Charles Darwin arrived at Galapagos, he took many of the giant tortoises with him, wanting to gift to the UK queen. However..... in his long journey home... they ate all the tortoises.... European sailors then know that these giant tortoises can survive without food and water for 8 months. Galapagos then became a stopover for the great explorers, for its giant tortoises as provisions. Consequently the number of them dropped, and only started to recover after recent conservatory efforts.

Seeing all the giant tortoises here wandering on the roads is the best thing ever!!!! Dr. Turtle is happy, too~~~~
