Announcing the location of the #GucciSS19 fashion show, the club Théâtre Le Palace in Paris. This show is the last leg of a three-part homage to France, which began last January with #GucciPreFall18 campaign #GucciDansLesRues recalling the May 1968 student protests in Paris and then moved to the Promenade Des Alyscamps in Arles for the #GucciCruise19 fashion show. The Théâtre Le Palace resonates with the vision of the House, a subliminal club at the center of the music scene in the late 70s and 80s and continues to inspire young generations today. “Theatre: this Greek word comes from a verb that means “to see”. Le Palace is certainly a site dedicated to looking: you spend your time looking at the hall; and, when you come back from the dancing, you look some more,” Roland Barthes wrote about this famed club in 1978.
