Video - Take a Deep Breath ...
Adam can be quite emotional sometimes . When he's angry , he would just throw the toys on the floor and walk away .
It's very important for parents to handle them as it can lead to tantrums .
We teach our kids to take 3 deep breaths to calm them down ... and communicate with them asking why they feel that way,.
Let them talk about it in their own baby language.
It works every time ...
Emotions in kids start to develop at 2-3 years of age and most of the time they do not know how to express themselves making it very frustrating .
Hence kids act the way they know best ...by screaming , throwing things , hitting others and in extreme cases knocking their heads to the wall .
Screaming back at them or leaving them just make matters worse .
' Terrible Two ' is what many of us labelled them but its truly not their fault .We just need to understand the brain development in children.
Just sharing.
Salam Everyone

.

“You don’t live up to your full potential” ⠀
“Don’t you want to get a real job at Facebook or Google?” ⠀
“How much is your net income?”⠀
“...Yoga? ...I’ll pretend I didn’t hear that” ⠀
....⠀
Ahhhh the cliches. Growing up in a different “world”, my family of doctors & business consultants usually make me feel like a black sheep: brainless, useless, poor, surfing, bikini-making, self-called-entrepreneur, van-living, eco-yogi-hippie... what else..?⠀
•⠀
Sometimes I ask myself, is that true? Am I a pretender? Am I irresponsible? Is my brand too small? Am I failing?
•⠀
First it hurts, but then I step over my ego... ⠀
•⠀
Truth is: People - as well as “close” friends, parents, and family - don’t always HAVE to understand everything. Especially if they haven’t experienced your life with you. They might judge you, and it’s okey....Because YOU can chose to NOT judge them AND love them anyway! 😉
•⠀
Everybody defines purpose & success differently, it doesn’t mean that what you do is less meaningful or valuable. ⠀
•⠀
It’s enough when YOU deeply love what you do, and it’s enough when what you’re doing is worthy to someone, even if it’s just ONE person! ⠀
•⠀
I think we should fall in love with our life! Embrace differences, respect and communicate. Only like that we can empower and love each-other... and make this world a more peaceful place. ☀️✌🏽🙆🏻♀️

how to communicate with parents 在 The Family UK Youtube 的精選貼文
Written by Dr Auntie...
I want to share a story with you. I was having fun watching the YouTube video where Fatimah & Ali were speaking in Malay using the so-called “KL” dialect, (according to them). I was burst out laughing. I watched it again with my parents and we ended up giggling! And I watched it over and over again…
Not only that I was so joyful to see Fatimah’s back in action, but I was amazed by the kids’ confidence level! Frankly speaking, Mukhtar, Fatimah & Ali only speaks Malay using Kelantan dialect. They were not taught to speak other kinds of Malay. Let me tell you why…
When Mukhtar was 3-4 years, he was only able to speak in English. He could understand Malay, but he couldn’t speak the language. Thereafter, Mrs Mom & Mr Dad spotted a huge problem – Mukhtar couldn’t communicate well with our elderly family members in Kelantan, who cannot speak English and only speak Kelantan dialect.
So my sister and her husband both decided that they must teach their son to speak Malay – specifically Kelantan dialect! Why? I still remember when I first asked my sister about it, and she confidently said, “I want Mukhtar to respect the elders. They can’t speak English, so be it! I don’t want them to adapt to my son and struggle to speak English with him or adjust their tongues to speak a different Malay dialect with him. I want my son to adapt to them and speak the language they speak. They’re our elders. That’s our roots, and I want my son to respect that. To the rest of the people who don’t understand Kelantan dialect, let him speak English with them.”
I totally agree! The same concept was applied to Fatimah & Ali. Now the 3 kids speak and understand Kelantan dialect fluently. No matter what, respect the elders is key.
In the video, Fatimah & Ali were having fun playing with the self-taught KL words! How confident is that ? Don’t forget to watch it. Please kindly show your support to my two-and-only accidental twins??
