I want to share a story with you. I was having fun watching the YouTube video where Fatimah & Ali were speaking in Malay using the so-called “KL” dialect, (according to them). I was burst out laughing. I watched it again with my parents and we ended up giggling! And I watched it over and over again…
-
Not only that I was so joyful to see Fatimah’s back in action, but I was amazed by the kids’ confidence level! Frankly speaking, Mukhtar, Fatimah & Ali only speaks Malay using Kelantan dialect. They were not taught to speak other kinds of Malay. Let me tell you why…
-
When Mukhtar was 3-4 years, he was only able to speak in English. He could understand Malay, but he couldn’t speak the language. Thereafter, Mrs Mom & Mr Dad spotted a huge problem – Mukhtar couldn’t communicate well with our elderly family members in Kelantan, who cannot speak English and only speak Kelantan dialect.
-
So my sister and her husband both decided that they must teach their son to speak Malay – specifically Kelantan dialect! Why? I still remember when I first asked my sister about it, and she confidently said, “I want Mukhtar to respect the elders. They can’t speak English, so be it! I don’t want them to adapt to my son and struggle to speak English with him or adjust their tongues to speak a different Malay dialect with him. I want my son to adapt to them and speak the language they speak. They’re our elders. That’s our roots, and I want my son to respect that. To the rest of the people who don’t understand Kelantan dialect, let him speak English with them.”
-
I totally agree! The same concept was applied to Fatimah & Ali. Now the 3 kids speak and understand Kelantan dialect fluently. No matter what, respect the elders is key.
-
In the video, Fatimah & Ali were having fun playing with the self-taught KL words! How confident is that 😁 Don’t forget to watch it. Full video is available on The Family UK channel (link ⤵️ below). Please kindly show your support to my two-and-only accidental twins👌🏼

This boy is not Harry Potter. He is Omar Mukhtar, an ordinary boy who has no magical power whatsoever. But he had successfully made one of his dreams come true! And now for the first time ever, Mukhtar has made an exclusive tour in “Hogwarts”, the school of his dreams. Have you watched the video on YouTube? Let me tell you why you should watch it...
When my nephew Omar Mukhtar told us one day that he wanted to study in King Edwards’s School, we got worried! KES is one of the leading academic schools in the UK, so it’s so tough to get a place there. We were so concerned that Mukhtar might not be able to get in due to very high competition. We were concerned that Mukhtar might get disappointed! Little did we know that Allah has already planned something great for him, as a reward for his hard work and his kindness. So Mukhtar went for a test to get a place in KES and he passed. He was called for an interview at KES for a scholarship and he was successful. Mukhtar got a full scholarship to study at KES. MashaAllah. All praise is due to Allah.
People know that Mukhtar is a KES student, but what they don’t know is all the sacrifices he made to achieve his dream. There are so many behind-the-scene stories about my nephew and his “secrets” of success. How he cared for his ill mother from a very young age. How he sacrificed his own childhood time to care for Fatimah & Ali. How hard he had to juggle between his roles as a son, as a big brother, and as a student, all at the same time. It was truly a bumpy road for Mukhtar to be where he is now!
So that’s why you should watch the video. The video’s now available to watch on our YouTube channel: The Family UK (link below). Would you care to show my nephew your kind support please? I thank each one of you so much in advance for your kind support towards my nephew Mukhtar 🙏🏼
