It's such a privilege to be able to breastfeed Layla until now. It's been almost 11 months, and I'm still loving every second of it. Every now and then, we still chill in bed together for some skin-to-skin TLC. I love that natural, pure, powerful bond that we share together in that short time.

Now that Layla is successfully sleep trained. Frankly, i miss a bit of those late night huggies with her. Haha, say only la... when she was waking up 6-7 times a night, it was really no fun for both of us.
She would cry the min she wake up until someone goes rescue her. Sometimes it's 1 min, sometimes it's 10. Basically, she is constantly waiting at our disposal which is really disruptive for her sleep. After she got older and more aware, it got worse, she would want to be carried in a certain way, a very specific way, and when i can't achieve that for her, she would wail with such intense anger!

I love my baby to the core. But those night wakings were tough and draining. I felt like i wasn't giving her the best of me in the day because i really just didn't have the energy.

I was constantly living in fear. I would tiptoe around the house so i wouldn't wake her up. I'll make Deon go hide in the yard, close the yard door just to open his can of coke cos i didnt want her to wake up while I'm in a middle of a meal. So stressful seriously!

11 months later, i decided to sleep train Layla. I must admit, the first 3 nights were really hard. Thoughts of giving up crossed my mind so many times! But I'm really thankful @deon.woo and Angela @upchild.sg stood by me and held my hand through it all, encouraging me to keep preservering. Finally on Day 5, she slept through both naps and through the night all on her own! I cried. It was tears of joy. I was so proud of Layla. It wasnt easy, but she did it!

I know many moms have a lot of questions re sleep training (like i did)! So I've decided to go on iglive with Angela on Thursday, 19th Aug, 1030am. You guys can ask us everything then! I'll share abt my experience and Angela will provide you with professional advice. She usually charge for consultation. So you guys had better make good use of this opportunity! Haha!

進入6月，莎莎出生一個半月。全家籠罩在擁有兩個寶貝女兒的喜悅，我也第一次能感受凱莉當上姊姊的模樣，全家常常一起膩在家的模樣。懷孕時期就不太離家，所以全城居家 work from home 這件事我也很快能適應，在家中還是有很多活動可以讓生活很美好。
Now that Sasa is six weeks old, we've really been able to experience the joy of have two baby girls with Kali adapting wonderfully to her older sister duties. Even though we're all stuck in the house, we don't really feel like we've had to make too many adjustments because even from our pregnancy we've been pretty much working from home. Exercising has always been a part of our daily lives, so we just picked up where we left off since being pregnant.

For the daily life of a mother of two at home, outside of nursing bras, I'm just wearing "hold me bra" instead of anything else. It's wireless, sweat absorbent, and quick-drying perfect for hanging around the house. If I wanna do more intense exercises and stretching, I'll switch over to the "sporty bra," which depending on my mode, I'll either go for a reversible racerback or a cute forest green criss-cross bra so I can switch off for laundry cycles... You know how much laundry backlog new mommas have... I'm all for looking good, exercising to feel good, especially in my matching periwinkle set, perfect for sleepwear/exercise wear. After this lockdown, I can't wait to sport these cute clothes out and about around the city.

We've finally graduated! We are officially certified Positive Psychology Diploma Graduates!

What a joy it's been, truly. I started the course not pregnant, and then graduated with a baby. How i juggled filming, pregnancy and studying then is beyond me. I forgot how i did it, but i did! Haha!

I hated studying when i was younger, but I've learnt that studying doesn't have to feel boring or dreadful when it's a subject im passionate about. And doing this together with @jadeseah definitely made it even more fun!

Many people don't know this. They think Jade and i have always been close. The reality is, we went into this course as acquaintance, but, we made it out as good friend, good buddy! One of the biggest reward in this journey, apart from the knowledge i got, was really making a sincere, great friend! And if you read abt how we end up taking the course together from @jadeseah's post, it almost seem like we were meant to go through this Positive Psychology journey together! It was fated!

I believe everything in life happens for a reason. We graduated right before Circuit Breaker, and before i gave birth. With the knowledge we had, we were able to serve the community through CB (that was also when @wonderandwellness was born). More importantly, i learnt the tools on how to be a more positive and aware person, thus directly affected me as a mom, reinforcing the significance of Conscious Parenting.

Many people said I've changed since becoming a mom. Well they aren't entirely wrong, but the changing point wasn't when i became a mom, it was from all the self-work ive done with meditation, counselling and Positive Psychology; the best investments I've ever made for myself.

Life just keeps getting better. Never stop growing, never stop learning!

I've been waiting to have these Fila Disuptor 2 shoes since the beginning of the year and finally, FINALLY I got them! I haven't been to a beach in well over 6 months, and I definitely wasn't expecting to be visiting one in Vietnam! But lucky me, one of my aunt and uncle's favourite food places in the city was a place right by the beach!

I've always been a huge water person. Anything with a large body of water and you will find me lurking around there. Don't know what it is about the water that makes me feel so at peace. Since I was a little girl, I have always been a keen swimmer, so visiting the sea was such a joy for me.

The day starts off with all 3 of us on the back of the motorcycle again. It's been our most efficient method of transport and also happens to be the most fun. I won't say anything about how safe the whole situation really is but, YOLO. (lol)

It was a 10 minute commute to the beach and we got to drive past the most beautiful padi fields. Honestly felt like a scene from out of a movie! Miles and miles of rice fields and women in big wellies tending to the grain.

We got to the beach and were greeting by the most tropical, vibey restaurant ever that sat just along the shore. Couldn't have been a more perfect location with tiny grass huts and the view of the sea stretching out for miles and miles.
