"The greatest gift our parents ever gave us was each other."
I was at the mall the other day and had a random conversation with a store assistant. She saw that I was carrying Ansel so she asked me how old he was, how many kids I have, how many boys and girls and so on before revealing that she comes from a big family too.
One of the things she said echoed my sentiments and that was "有兄弟姐妹是好的,当父母不在了,他们至少还有彼此。" It means that one day when we are gone, at least our kids still have each other for support and company. It's what I've always felt too and one of the reasons why I wanted to have more kids.
Even though they might bicker and fight at this age, it's also plain to see how they love and care for each other. Of course, I hope the bickers will lessen as they grow older and I want the bond to get stronger over time too.
A key message they said to me on Mother's Day was "Thank you, Mama, for bringing me and my siblings into this world so I can play with them." Yup, while they might not always say it, I know they do appreciate and love each other deeply. This is even more apparent since Ansel joined our family because they all dote on him and love him to the moon and back.
有你们,我再也不寂寞。因为你们,我的人生更幸福。May we learn to always cherish each other, my dears. ❤

Happy Hump Day!
We've been having a little difficulty remembering the date and day of the week and apparently it's not just me but the kids too.
You know, while parents are having trouble getting used to home-based learning and finding it tough to multi-task, we tend to forget that the little ones are not having an easy time too.
They don't get to see their friends, they get confused by the endless deadlines, they struggle with submitting their work on online learning platforms, they can only see their teachers in virtual classrooms which might not be the best way to clarify doubts, they have to learn to focus amidst all the distraction, they at times suffer the brunt of our frustration amidst the chaos, they miss their usual outdoor time badly, they have 24/7 to bicker with their siblings and they also have to get used to seeing us all morning, all afternoon and all night. Yup, I don't think that things are easy for any of them too.
That is why it is especially important for us to stay positive and cheerful so that we can pass on 正能量 to the kids too. These three were sad to hear that Papa will be going away after getting used to having him home these days but I hope they will feel happy to still have Mama here with them when the school holidays start next week. I don't have any plans of what we are going to do except stay home all day, be spontaneous and just do whatever we feel like doing when we wake up in the morning.
Hopefully, we can keep smiling, keep feeling optimistic and keep looking forward to the day when we can run in the sun again.
P.S. Thanks to @bloomphotographysg for capturing their happy faces, I love how they are holding hands and having fun together. May they always be thankful to have each other. ❤

Yippee! We made it to the weekend and it's time to head out and have some fun. No laundry, no homework, no cooking, no cleaning - for today at least. Lol.
We had a nice mum-and-kids Friday night where we dined at the food court, went to play badminton, ran around, danced, played on a swing and watched TV before we called it a night. So happy we can all sleep in tomorrow, haha.
Enjoy the weekend and stay safe, everyone!
