Because while the truncheon may be used in lieu of conversation,

you now have censors and systems of surveillance

V for Vendetta (2005)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yrwTDfdck7I
就是買到樓才是幸福和成功,市民自發地榨取血汗供養地價和發展商,他們沒有發現,「 And the truth is, there is something terribly wrong with this country, isn't there? 」
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KKvvOFIHs4k
「Because while the truncheon may be used in lieu of conversation, words will always retain their power. Words offer the means to meaning, and for those who will listen, the enunciation of truth.」
