It's the weekend and that means time for outdoor fun!
The kids have been saying "I wanna go for nature walks and find bugs!" and so we did today. We made our way to Labrador Nature Reserve today, our first visit as a family, and the first question the big girl asked was "Are we gonna see lots of dogs there?". Haha.
While we did see a few pet dogs, the kids were also thrilled to spot dozens of gigantic spider webs, trails of red ants, wriggly caterpillars, cute squirrels, bugs that I can't name and chickens that could outrun them.
We ended up in Labrador Park where the kids explored two playgrounds and went on swings, see-saws, slides and had lots of fun just digging holes in the sand using sticks. That is how childhood should be like, right? Pure, innocent, happy. The day reluctantly ended when the rain started to pour and we decided to have dinner at the nearby Pasir Panjang Food Centre before heading home.
This is why we love weekends so much. The family gets together, we don't talk about work, we release any stress built up over the week, we admire and appreciate nature, we feel the sunshine and we are thankful for all the good things in our lives. Hope everyone had a wonderful Sunday too!
