The Power of Free Choice
“When we were merely living natural lives, the law, through defining sin, actually awakened sinful desires within us, which resulted in bearing the fruit of death. But now that we have been fully released from the power of the law, we are dead to what once controlled us. And our lives are no longer motivated by the obsolete way of following the written code, so that now we may serve God by living in the freshness of a new life in the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 7:5-6 TPT)
Did you notice the more you tell yourself “I must not do this again,” the more likely you are doomed to repeat it?
Doesn’t it sound like the Ten Commandments which begins with “You shall not...”
For example, “You shall not think of a pink elephant.” The more you tell yourself that, you’ll find that you can’t stop thinking about that pink elephant.
The mind seems to filter out the word “not”.
It is the Law that stirs up the rebelliousness of our sinful flesh. It lusts against the things of God.
The more you say don’t sin, the more the flesh is tempted to sin.
We will benefit from learning to reframe and repackage the things we don’t want to do—from a perspective of negative obligation to a perspective of positive voluntary choice.
The first thing to realize is that we have truly been freed from the condemnation of sin. Jesus took all the punishment for sins in His own body at the cross so that we won’t have to.
We need to get rid of this fearful expectation of God’s judgment because it actually holds us back from breaking free from sinful habits.
This fear comes from being Law and sin-conscious instead of being conscious of how forgiven we are through Jesus’ finished work at the cross.
““All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are profitable. “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things build up.” (1 Corinthians 10:23 WEB)
ALL THINGS are lawful for you. You can literally do anything because the Spirit of Life that is in Christ Jesus has set you free from the Law of sin and of death.
Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is true liberty—you are totally free.
In the New Covenant of Grace, there is no sneaky fine-print, no hidden clauses, no leash to pull you back into right behavior. You have received forgiveness of sins as a gift of grace (unearned favor).
Is a Christian free to commit sin? Yes you can if you want to and God will not punish you for it.
Are you shocked to read that? But it is the truth.
If you can’t accept that, then you’re still bound by the Law and have an incomplete revelation of what Grace is.
If you say, “No, a Christian shall not sin, if not God will punish him and he’s in danger of hellfire,” that is a lie and it stirs up the sinful passions in a person’s flesh.
That kind of teaching dishonors Jesus’ finished work at the cross (as if it were an insufficient sacrifice) and it brings a person deeper into bondage to sin.
That’s because Law is a sin trigger that activates the fleshly temptation to commit sin.
But there’s a better way—use the freedom you have in Christ to do things that are profitable to you and the body of Christ.
Use that freedom to do things that build up instead of things that break down—imparting life instead of death.
Instead of declaring “No, I must not sin anymore,” which has no power to break the power of sin, you can say, “I am free to do anything I want, but I choose to honor and worship Jesus by doing what is profitable and edifying to the body of Christ!”
Remember this: your identity is your ability. You have the power to break free from sinful habits because you are a royal priest and child of God. Sin has no dominion over you because you are not under the Law but under Grace. Hallelujah!

Faith Receives Now Even When It’s Not Time For Everyone Else Yet
“When the wine ran out, Jesus’ mother said to him, “They have no wine.” Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does that have to do with you and me? My hour has not yet come.” His mother said to the servants, “Whatever he says to you, do it.”” (John 2:3-5 WEB)
It’s all about having a revelation that you can receive all of God’s blessings at any time simply through faith, not by earning them through works.
When Jesus’ time to be revealed publicly for ministry hadn’t come yet, Mary had a revelation of Jesus’ Grace and compassion.
Even before it was God’s time to announce it publicly that blessings are received by Grace through faith in Jesus, Mary had insider knowledge by believing in Jesus’ goodness.
The rest of Israel thought that blessings came by obedience to the Law.
Anytime’s a good time to receive from God if you have faith in Jesus.
We’re not waiting for God—He has already given us every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.
God’s just waiting for us to believe and speak it forth so that we can have it as a manifested reality.
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ;” (Ephesians 1:3 WEB)
Before the Gospel was revealed and proclaimed to the Gentiles (Matthew 15:21-28), the Syrophoenician woman received healing for her demon-possessed daughter through faith in Jesus.
It wasn’t time for the public to know that God’s heart is to save and bless the Gentiles too, but this woman saw Jesus’ goodness through her spiritual eyes of faith and apprehended the blessing.
Under the Law, a Nazirite like Samson who made a solemn vow before God had no right to expect any goodness or Grace from God after breaking his vow.
““‘All the days of his vow of separation no razor shall come on his head, until the days are fulfilled, in which he separates himself to Yahweh. He shall be holy. He shall let the locks of the hair of his head grow long. “‘All the days that he separates himself to Yahweh he shall not go near a dead body.” (Numbers 6:5-6 WEB)
Previously, Samson held a jaw bone of a donkey which was forbidden to him, and yet Yahweh still supernaturally empowered him to slay one thousand Philistine enemies (Judges 15:15-16).
Just before his death, Samson received super-strength again through faith, enabling him to destroy the temple of Dagon.
He had just sinned and broken his vow by allowing his hair to be cut off.
The Law would have disqualified him from receiving any of God’s blessings or gifts.
“Samson called to Yahweh, and said, “Lord Yahweh, remember me, please, and strengthen me, please, only this once, God, that I may be at once avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes.” Samson took hold of the two middle pillars on which the house rested, and leaned on them, the one with his right hand, and the other with his left. Samson said, “Let me die with the Philistines!” He bowed himself with all his might; and the house fell on the lords, and on all the people who were therein. So the dead that he killed at his death were more than those who he killed in his life.” (Judges 16:28-30 WEB)
Yet, Yahweh still blessed Samson. Why was this possible?
It’s because the Law doesn’t annul/negate the eternal covenant that God first made with Abraham.
“Now I say this. A covenant confirmed beforehand by God in Christ, the law, which came four hundred thirty years after, does not annul, so as to make the promise of no effect. For if the inheritance is of the law, it is no more of promise; but God has granted it to Abraham by promise.” (Galatians 3:17-18 WEB)
Samson received his super-strength by faith, through the Abrahamic covenant, not through the Law.
The Abrahamic covenant is one where all the responsibility to fulfill its terms was borne by God.
God promised the blessings and inheritance to Abraham and his descendants (we are his descendants because we are born-again through Jesus), and God also made the necessary payment for this inheritance to be righteously given to them.
“For when God made a promise to Abraham, since he could swear by no one greater, he swore by himself, saying, “Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.”” (Hebrews 6:13-14 WEB)
This payment was Jesus’ atoning sacrifice for sins at the cross. Through His shed blood, we can righteously receive every blessing through faith in Him.
Don’t wait any longer. God is not holding back any blessings from you to try and keep you on a short leash.
There’s no hidden condition where He can suddenly retract your salvation or sonship just to punish you.
You’re not a child of God on probation—you’re a full-fledged child with the Spirit of sonship that never departs!
If you have faith in Jesus today, you can receive what you’re believing for now.
If there’s still unbelief, just keep hearing about Jesus—specifically His goodness and love as written in God’s word.
Faith will come, and you will speak it and see it!

孽,從來是人作的;
你是天使,看出來的毛孩就是天使;
你是禽獸,看出來的毛孩,就是禽獸。
你,又看到了什麼?

What can you see?
Yesterday, we, the Paw Guardians, was in discussion with AFCD, the dog owner and volunteers about the issues of suspecting bitten case of a Collie. It was confirmed that there was someone put pressure on AFCD targeting the 3 mongrels, which were being named as “Beasts” by that someone, and swore that must turn them in. That someone even thought that killing that 3 mongrels was a reasonable cause due they should pay for their wrongful doing.
Did that 3 paws do anything wrong?
The current situation of this issue is as follow --
1) The 3 paws are still living in where they are; they are safe
2) AFCD stated that there was no evidence to prove the 3 paws have bitten another dog. Furthermore, these 3 paws have owner, the department could not just simply catch them.
3) Even if it can be proven the 3 paws have bitten another dog, it is not a criminal offence.
4) If it can be proven that the 3 paws have hurt another dog, the concerned dog owner can pursue the case in other means. However, all kinds of pursuing has nothing to do with “law of retaliation” (an eye for an eye).
5) If the 3 paws really have hurt another dog, but based on the fact that that dog owner hasn’t put the dog on leash, which meant she hasn’t fulfilled the responsibility as a dog owner, the compensation, if applicable, would relatively reduced.
6) There is never a scapegoat.
7) If there is any follow up issue, the Paw Guardians would fully support.
If you ever pass by the same place, do say hi to the 3 paws. If you are with your own lovely paws, please do remember to put them on leash.
We are deeply sorry for any paws getting hurt. But there is nothing to do with mongrels or purebreds. And this is certainly not an excuse to hurt or attack the mongrels.
In the eyes of paws, they have no races. They only know the strong one has to protect the weak.
We believe, if you are an angel, you will see the paw as an angel. But if you are a beast, you will see the paws as a beast.
So, may we ask again -- what can you see?
