全球首個可充電水泥基電池概念 混凝土建築變成一座巨型電池
可充電水泥基電池概念首先以一種水泥基混合物，其中添加了少量的短碳纖維以增加導電性和抗彎韌性。然後，將嵌入金屬的碳纖維網布嵌入混合物中，其中鐵為陽極，鎳為陰極，已經過大量實驗。
由Tang Luping和Emma Zhang領導團隊，生產了一種可充電的水泥基電池原型，在六個充電和放電循環中，其平均能量密度為每平方米7瓦時（或每升0.8瓦時）。他們測試了電極的幾種組合，發現鐵陽極和鎳基氧化物陰極產生了最佳結果。通過添加短碳纖維，以不同的比例進行試驗，可以找到約0.5％碳纖維的最佳混合物，從而提高了水泥基混合物對電解質的電導率。能量密度用於表示電池的容量，以適度的估計出，新的查爾默斯電池(Chalmers battery)的性能可能是早期混凝土電池的十倍以上。與商用電池相比，能量密度仍然很低，但是由於在建築物中使用時可構造出巨大的電池體積，因此可以克服此限制。....
