ข่าวลือที่ว่านี้มีที่มาจากช่อง YouTube RedGamingTech ที่เป็นช่องเกี่ยวกับฮาร์ดแวร์และเกม ซึ่งเขาได้อ้างอิงจากแหล่งข่าวที่ใกล้ชิดกับเขา ว่าเกม Metal gear Solid ฉบับดั้งเดิมนั้นกำลังมีการพัฒนาใหม่ในแบบ Remake ไม่ใช่แค่ Remastered และมันจะวางขายวางแบบ Console Exclusive เฉพาะเครื่อง PS5 อีกด้วย รวมไปถึงบน PC ด้วยเช่นกัน

และยิ่งไปกว่านั้น แหล่งข่าวเจ้าเดิมของเขายังบอกอีกว่า เกมภาค 2,3 และ 4 จะถูกทำใหม่ในแบบ HD Remastered และวางขายบนเครื่อง PS5 กับ PC ด้วยเช่นกัน ซึ่งถ้าหากเป็นเช่นนั้นจริง ก็น่าจะช่วยให้แฟน ๆ เกม Metal Gear ดีใจกันไม่น้อย
