【告訴我患甚麼病可以嗎？】(長者常見疾病英文名稱)

睇醫生要錢、見律師要錢、見心理學家要錢、見營養師要錢、搵補習老師要錢、搵護士洗傷口要錢.....有時我會諗，有冇乜嘢可以唔駛錢？

或者你會話，搵政府幫手咪少啲錢！睇街症$50、專科門診首次$135(之後$80)、急症室$180、社康護士洗傷口每次$80；九個民政事務處提供免費法律諮詢計劃、社署有免費心理輔導服務等等.....

冇錯！係有以上服務，但因為僧多粥少關係，一係排好耐、一係只能提供片面服務、如果有多少少個人限制(如：行動不便)需要搵人上門就更艱難喇！

好似心理輔導，見一次臨床心理學家真係好貴！除非家庭發生慘劇，社署臨床心理學家就會有排耐心免費輔導你！(好似我以前喺院舍工作曾經收過一個緊急個案，同社署社工、臨床心理學家同醫院精神科醫生合作，跟咗伯伯同佢仔女超過一年半！)

唔好講其他，淨係講睇醫生，無論公家抑或私家，醫生只會寫英文，醫院病歷同出院記錄絕大部份都係英文！唔好話老人家，照顧者亦面對好大困難！究竟病歷寫啲乜？我父母有乜嘢病？有時覆診或出院時想問多少少，遇著一位好醫生或護士可能會答多你兩句，但更多時候你要有食貓面嘅準備！唔係因為佢哋工作實在太忙，就係唔耐煩；咁多病人，個個病人咁問法仲得了？

做咗安老服務社工逾二十年，照顧肥媽逾十四年，我諗我接觸醫護、長者同照顧者嘅機會確實比唔少人多！尤其獨居兩老長者，有時佢哋出院後我上門探訪，同佢哋解釋出院記錄、藥物種類兼服用方法、以及整理覆診紙都要花唔少心機同時間！問婆婆「醫生話妳乜嘢事？」好多時會聽到「我唔知呀！」再望返出院記錄，原來有幾種病確診咗！

為此，我花咗一啲時間，整理咗以下一份清單，係有關長者常見疾病嘅英文名稱！做咗咁耐社工、見過咁多病歷、探過咁多老人家、陪肥媽進出過咁多次醫院；唔多唔少，都會累積到唔少知識同經驗；雖然呢啲大部份係唔開心同難過嘅經驗，但我都希望能幫到大家！

抱歉嘅係，因為我唔係醫護人員，冇受過專業訓練，所以未必寫得太好，懇請見諒！還望醫護人員向我多多指教！

Ｑ：最近許多民眾在門診問：冬天時，老人家關節退化、曾經筋骨受傷的人、有舊傷的地方，會感覺筋骨比平常更酸痛不適，真的是這樣嗎？

膝蓋退化案例

前幾天有個60歲的阿姨來看診，她說本來夏天的時候，都沒有覺得膝蓋不舒服，但是到了冬天就是膝蓋會特別僵硬、蹲不下去、膝窩腫脹很痛苦，動作遲緩。

阿姨說：「像是蹲馬桶的時候，在夏天沒什麼事，但冬天就是沒辦法直接站起來。平日根本沒辦法蹲下去。就算蹲下去後，也會站不起來。早上膝蓋特別特別僵硬，都要等20-30分鐘後才能慢慢移動」

Ａ：堡醫師回答「真的是這樣子的！你不是唯一一個」
為什麼呢？其實根本原因有3個，解說給你聽。

1. 舊傷退化的神經纖維敏感：

冬天的時候，溼度變化、寒冷會讓身體本來有舊傷，或是關節退化的地方，因為受傷處的游離神經纖維的刺激，而更容易疼痛發炎。

2. 大腦感受器的變化：

大腦皮質、視丘 內有調控疼痛的地方，在寒冷的冬天，會讓疼痛抑制的訊號降低，因此本來不太痛的地方，就會變得更疼痛。

3. 血液循環的降低：

氣溫下降，會導致身體周邊末端血液循環降低，血管血流的作用是可以帶走引起痠痛的代謝廢物，卻因寒冷而血流量由充足轉為不足、因此退化性關節就會開始隱隱作痛了。

Well from the recent experiential talk session by Arthritis Foundation Malaysia (AFM) with special guest Mr. World Champion Mike Mahen, OA does occurs mostly in the knee area and it not only attack the elderly, the symptoms are like swelling, chronic pain, stiffness or dysfunction. .

Most elderly who suffer from arthritis could be due to their early age injuries that were not treated properly and over the time it accumulated and became severe. Sad to know that even some have to go for knee replacement surgery.
